So is everyone preparing to make sukkos also? It doesn’t look like a vaccine or cure will be around till 2021 so unless the USA takes measures similar to China there is no reason to say anything should be different till 2021. Also don’t tell me that once people recover…. because in China there was a 20 to 30 reinfectivity rate, and in Singapore where, when the numbers started going down because of all the measures they put in place they reopen things up and the numbers jump back up

source? If that is true then we have much bigger problems than sukkos. If immunity wears off that quickly then how would a vaccine help?
By sukkos things will likely have returned somewhat to normal. don’t forget the point of all this , to prevent overwhelming the hospital system. the hospitals I work in are struggling but largely holding they expect to peak in a week or 2 once things peak hospitals will be busy but able to mange the steady (not rising) inlfux of patients, hopefully help as many as can be helped

Also the us government today came out and said that China about the number of deaths and infected so I would say that if they admitted to 10-15 reinfectivity it’s probably higher. Since you mentioned that you work in the medical field I have to ask what changed that a week or two ago a 14 day quarantine was ok and now the drs. Are telling the rabbi I’m to put out letters that even if someone quarantined they can’t go away for y”t

probably not because based on our understanding of biology that doesnt make sense.
Again the whole point of vaccines is to build immunity against the virus. If people who had the ACTUAL virus dont have immunity, then a vaccine will obviously not help.
(Sure a few for whatever reason wont have or maintain anitbodies, much like some get flu vaccine and yet get the flu. but for thae VAST VAST majority once you’ve had it you shouldn’t be able to get it again .April 2, 2020 8:11 am at 8:11 am #1846084Intheparsha@22ParticipantI have to point out from that from my research also that it seems that while some people maybe don’t create antibodies, the bigger problem with the flu is that it is made of rna and not dna, therefore it is extremely prone to mutation same as the commen cold and that’s why one can get the flu even with the vaccine, and why one get get the cold multiple times in one season.
April 2, 2020 8:29 pm at 8:29 pm #1846539Intheparsha@22ParticipantToday it came out that China just put a county back under lockdown due to concerns of a second wave. ( it seems like I cant post a URL here so for sources for reinfectivity rate Google “reinfectivity rate covid 19 China”) the
