Why does the chazzan repeat Magen Avot on Friday night? It’s not like we repeat the Amidah out loud for Ma’ariv the rest of the week. Also, I remember specifically in the shule where I grew up that the chazzan didn’t repeat Magen Avot. Are there any places today where the chazzan does not say it on his own?
you dont say magen avos in a minyan thats not kavua. perhaps that explains it. ba dum.
