I have over 100-250 Seforim and English books i purchased a couple of years ago most from judaica plaza in lakewood and mekor judaica in Brooklyn.
I have images of all of them and just want to sell cheap and can ship them anywhere.
October 17, 2018 4:34 pm at 4:34 pm #1606660Reb EliezerParticipantPeople will not buy a cat in a bag without knowing what you have.
October 17, 2018 4:34 pm at 4:34 pm #1606672make a pointParticipantWhat are the list of seforim, where can they be brought from….
October 17, 2018 5:40 pm at 5:40 pm #1606684ubiquitinParticipantThere is a facebook group “buy, sell, or swap seforim”
post pictures and prices there, they will be taken up rather quickly.October 17, 2018 6:50 pm at 6:50 pm #1606722pilpel harifParticipantHow are you looking to sell them? online or in person? Do you have a list? Do you have a number where you can be reached? I live in Lakewood and interested to see what you have.

October 17, 2018 10:39 pm at 10:39 pm #1606833thinker123ParticipantPlease post titles of the seforim.
October 18, 2018 12:15 am at 12:15 am #1606837👑RebYidd23ParticipantWhy, GH?
October 18, 2018 6:24 am at 6:24 am #1606873Uncle BenParticipantThere goes KatanHadorah exposing her secularist mindset to one and all. Only someone steeped in secular culture would use the Hindu term karma.
October 18, 2018 10:24 am at 10:24 am #1606938☕️coffee addictParticipantUncle Ben,
I hear what gadolhadorah is saying (this isn’t political) if someone wants to sell something for “cheap” it shows he doesn’t give חשיבות to it
Someone that doesn’t give חשיבות to ספרים and תורה I would be very wary of
October 18, 2018 12:31 pm at 12:31 pm #1607074iacisrmmaParticipantcoffee addict: Have you ever visited Pinter’s in Boro Park? All the seforim on the tables outside for $5 or less? Does that mean that they don’t consider it chashiv? Maybe this person bought it for less then list price and is not looking to profit greatly.
October 18, 2018 12:31 pm at 12:31 pm #1607056Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict, I can argue on your logic, The Torah is passed on for free in order everyone should have equal access to it.
October 18, 2018 12:31 pm at 12:31 pm #1607052ubiquitinParticipant“if someone wants to sell something for “cheap” it shows he doesn’t give חשיבות to it”
Perhaps, the strangest thing I have read on this forum.
why doesnt it mean s/he wants to be mezakeh the Rabbim and have others have access to seforim?
why doesnt it mean s/he wants the seforim to be used and is eager to have others take them so that they can be utilized ?
why doesnt it mean that s/he is on a time frame and wants them to sell quickly? There are so many reasons one would sell something “for cheap” that in no way show a lack of חשיבות.
October 18, 2018 12:31 pm at 12:31 pm #1607050MenoParticipantThe concept of karma is rooted in avodah zarah

No I haven’t, sorry
To everyone else, why mention cheap, if you want to be מזכה people donate it to a beis Medresh
And laskern that applies to you, free is different than “cheap” (even low cost is different) cheap cheap shows it isn’t worth that much to the owner
October 18, 2018 1:11 pm at 1:11 pm #1607112Reb EliezerParticipantIf used properly we have something similar.
מדה כנגד מדה – בדרך שאדם מודד מודדין לו
which shows the hashgacha of Hashem.October 18, 2018 1:40 pm at 1:40 pm #1607125Reb EliezerParticipantHe met sign with karma.
October 18, 2018 1:40 pm at 1:40 pm #1607127tawilParticipantAre the seforim still available, where can they be viewed?
October 18, 2018 2:36 pm at 2:36 pm #1607167ubiquitinParticipant“if you want to be מזכה people donate it to a beis Medresh”
maybe he is worried that if he donates it without charging it will show he isnt machshiv torah, which apparently is a view some have.
So to cover all bases he is charging something to show that it is chasuvh but not too much so its still affordable.Anyway, on to Tachlis, I love buying seforim at a cheap price (probably because I too am not machsiv Torah I guess ) where can we get them?
October 18, 2018 2:56 pm at 2:56 pm #1607132ShtikaParticipantThere’s a place that buys seforim called YBseforim call there 7183122412

Is that the Democrats philosophy if you give צדקה it shows you’re not מחשב money so therefore they tax it instead?
Use affordable anyways (cheap cheapens what it is)
October 18, 2018 11:07 pm at 11:07 pm #1607348Takes2-2tangoParticipantDo any of the seforim your selling discuss the inyan of KARMA?
October 19, 2018 7:52 am at 7:52 am #1607430akupermaParticipantEBAY is reasonable if you want to sell them one by one, especially if you are outside of New York (where delivery involves more than short trip in a car). Amazon also does used books but has trouble with many frum books since most sefarim lack an ISBN.
October 21, 2018 7:18 am at 7:18 am #1607650GadolhadorahParticipantHey Meno…..Are you serious. that the inyan of good and bad ” karma” is rooted in avodah zarah.. Gee, I never would have known. Perhaps you might be surprised to know that so are many of the rather bizarre practices that are sometimes floated here as providing for a segulah for just about everything you may wish for. If you would lighten up occasionally you would have immediately realized that I used the term in its colloquial sense as a “bad sign” or “bad luck” but maybe not. Just my own preference that if I wanted to buy sifrei kodesh, I wouldn’t want to buy them from some Moishe or Yankel who wants to unload them quickly on the cheap.
October 21, 2018 7:18 am at 7:18 am #1607663thinker123ParticipantAre you actually trying to sell the seforim, or just having a nice time in the coffee room?!
October 21, 2018 7:20 am at 7:20 am #1607665YsiegelParticipantHas no one thus far made note of the fact that a user whose username is made up of random numbers and letters (suspicious), with *no* other posts prior to this one (very suspicious), is asking if anyone wants to carry out a monetary transaction online (extremely suspicious), especially in a way which warrants the exchange of private details (i.e. in order to find out more about what he’s selling)(red flags abound!)???

I must have missed it where did anyone ask to carry out a monetary transaction online?
where did anyone ask for private details? Was a post removed?
October 21, 2018 11:52 am at 11:52 am #1607813☕️coffee addictParticipantYsiegel,
I noticed that but as long as it isn’t a threat to the CR I didn’t care so much
October 21, 2018 11:53 am at 11:53 am #1607816YsiegelParticipantI’m sorry, I really wasn’t clear.
I meant that this guy has no clear identity. If anyone is interested in what he’s selling, they’ll surely contact him. Many people will have no issue exchanging personal contact info in order to make a purchase (phone number, email, etc.), and consequently may even go as far as to send him money in the hopes of receiving the promised goods.I really don’t intend to jump to conclusions, only that it is a fairly common thing that people online will do all of the above as a sham to get naive buyers’ $$$. That’s all I’m saying…
October 21, 2018 7:16 pm at 7:16 pm #1608087Solomonmeir99ParticipantI would be interested in buying some of the seforim. Where can i see a list of what you have? Or the pictures?
October 21, 2018 8:19 pm at 8:19 pm #1608125☕️coffee addictParticipantYsiegel,
There’s no way the mods will give out any info on this site

November 10, 2019 2:12 am at 2:12 am #1798921GadolhadorahParticipantHow is it that we can skip over a year in time and some will just enter a thread from October 2018 w/o missing a beat. Do you assume that the OPoster has further discounted these already “cheap” seforim and now is the time to cut a deal???
November 10, 2019 12:05 pm at 12:05 pm #1798991Reb EliezerParticipantGo to JewishUsedBooks.com

November 11, 2019 11:56 am at 11:56 am #1799264lowerourtuition11210ParticipantGH: is this the first time you noticed this phenomenon in “thread bumping”?
