Does anyone know anything about taxis in london. Is it safe to stop them in the street, or is there a number that people call to take taxis?
All black cabs are licensed/registered. They are therefore safe to use. Black cabs are very expensive. If you are in a Heimishe neighbourhood it would be worth your while finding out about the local minicabs. – You can also order a car to pick you up at the airport.
There are black cabs in the airports and train stations but they are very expensive. You probably won’t find many in the streets to stop.
You are better off ordering one. Where are you going from?

They are cheaper than Black Cabs, and are safer.
There is also a Heimishe company, but i do not have the number.
