I think lipa schmeltzer is a great fantastic singer, no one like him who makes so many people happy out there, he’s also got this soft calm soothing voice and he’s one of the biggest composers in jewish music (after Yossi Green ovcourse) he’s overall a massive genius in everything got to do with jewish music he’s lyrics are absolute Gan Eden. He really makes me smile.
October 28, 2014 10:22 pm at 10:22 pm #1038758Letakein GirlParticipantThis is a quintessential troll thread.
October 28, 2014 10:23 pm at 10:23 pm #1038759lamud vov tzadikParticipantMods does the real lipa schmeltzer have an account here? Maybe we could get his opinion on the subject.
October 28, 2014 10:32 pm at 10:32 pm #1038760ari-freeParticipantHe’s not ‘just’ a singer. I didn’t realize until today that he made a Broadway show and even built his own shul.
October 28, 2014 10:50 pm at 10:50 pm #1038761lamud vov tzadikParticipantYes he’s really an amazing person in general. I aggree with you ari free.
October 28, 2014 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm #1038762👑RebYidd23ParticipantIf Lipa has an account doesn’t make much of a difference. His real identity is personal info that cannot be revealed here according to the rules.
October 29, 2014 1:38 am at 1:38 am #1038764ari-freeParticipantThing is, in general you have to be careful about praising someone in public because of avak loshon hora. Someone out there who may have issues is more likely to add “Yeah, but…” You should only do that if you know who is in your audience.
October 29, 2014 4:42 am at 4:42 am #1038767vayoel mosheMemberI’m not a fan of lipa
October 29, 2014 11:15 am at 11:15 am #1038768ChortkovParticipantarifree – Thank you, stopped me responding.
Lamedvov – You just praised Lipa by saying he is fantastic singer with a great voice, with great songs, and great lyrics. What on earth do you want Lipa’s opinion on that for? He obviously likes his own songs, and he obviously likes his own lyrics, because otherwise he wouldn’t produce them. And I can’t imagine you’d want to hear his own opinion on his voice. So please explain what you want to hear from Mr Shmeltzer regardin your post??!?!
October 29, 2014 12:01 pm at 12:01 pm #1038769ivoryParticipantHe wants lipa to give him a pat on the back for being such a big fan!
October 29, 2014 12:22 pm at 12:22 pm #1038770lamud vov tzadikParticipantIt’s a she.
October 29, 2014 12:38 pm at 12:38 pm #1038771ED IT ORParticipantThe footage from lipa’s “shul” this yom tov was shocking.
October 29, 2014 12:44 pm at 12:44 pm #1038772ivoryParticipantLamed vov tzadekes?
October 29, 2014 5:06 pm at 5:06 pm #1038773lamud vov tzadikParticipantYekke2: What I want is to hear lipa’s opinion on if his songs the ones that he composes are good and if he thinks what I said is true.
October 29, 2014 6:54 pm at 6:54 pm #1038774ChortkovParticipantWhy on earth would somebody risk the tremendous expense of bringing out a CD if he didn’t like his own songs?! Of course he thinks they are good!
October 29, 2014 7:16 pm at 7:16 pm #1038775a maminParticipantCrazy: What was so shocking?
October 29, 2014 10:07 pm at 10:07 pm #1038776lamud vov tzadikParticipantYes lipa must be quite rich aswell, I suppose.

Not to offend anyone…
But:
There is no room in authentic yiddishkeit for idolisation, if you have seen the videos you will note a room of sheep following their “mentor” doing daft things that looked straight out of a harry Potter wand fight.
October 30, 2014 11:39 am at 11:39 am #1038779ari-freeParticipantThey were dancing around the shul with their lulavs because it was Hoshana Raba. The flapping lulav may look silly to those who are used to seeing lulavim tightly bound.
October 30, 2014 1:09 pm at 1:09 pm #1038780lamud vov tzadikParticipantI was watching lipa singing with his little son on stage the other day that was hilarious.
October 30, 2014 5:58 pm at 5:58 pm #1038781ED IT ORParticipantso they run around with just the lulav?
