“A psychiatric evaluation finds that the man charged with killing 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky, has a personality disorder.”
a personality disorder is no longer classified as a mental illness by the DSM. a personality is a disorder that is developed over a person’s life due to trauma one experiences, rejection, shock, loss, abuse, etc. it is untreatable with medicine. it can be reversed after years of…i suppose therapy would be the best way of putting it…but yea. it is not a mental illness. just making sure you all realize that.

(Not associated with ADD)
But don’t you worry yourself, it is completely curable with
psychoanalysis and Rehabilitative Gravitational Therapy,
more commonly known as RGT.
It is very affective. The therapy, consists of getting the psychiatrist to go up on a roof, preferably five stories or higher, and act out his childhood fantasies of being Superman.
One session Is all that is needed.

August 11, 2011 2:03 pm at 2:03 pm #796829Will RogersMemberbomb: The first sentence in today’s Times story is:
The man charged in the murder of an 8-year-old Brooklyn boy has a psychiatric disorder that includes schizoid tendencies, doctors evaluating him found in a preliminary examination
That being said, if he is mentally deficient that is not an indictment against all mental patients. So don’t take it to heart.
August 11, 2011 2:07 pm at 2:07 pm #796830yungerman1ParticipantPersonality Disorder is a vague term which can have several different classifications, many of which are in the DSM-IV.
August 11, 2011 3:48 pm at 3:48 pm #796831bombmaniacParticipantAxis 2 is a distinction. as opposed to the clinical disorders listed in Axis 1…that was my point
@wolf i wasnt pushing my agenda as much as i was trying to make sure people understand that personality disorders cant really be used to plead legal insanity…
