What are the programs with learning partners? Like Torah mates what else? How does the program work?
March 4, 2017 9:45 pm at 9:45 pm #1221022Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantThere is Partners In Torah. But it is only for people who aren’t religious yet or recently became religious.
Torah Mates is through OORAH, and I think it’s also only for people who are n’t religious or are recently religious, but you can contact them and find out. I’m sure you can find them online.
I don’t know of anything for Frum girls. But you can try either of the above programs to see if they will take you.
March 4, 2017 9:46 pm at 9:46 pm #1221023Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantI hope you weren’t offended by anything I wrote on the other thread. If you were, I apologize and I hope you are moichel me.
March 5, 2017 2:55 am at 2:55 am #1221024rebshidduchParticipantLilmod, about what would I be offended?
March 5, 2017 3:08 am at 3:08 am #1221025LightbriteParticipantPartners In Torah is “only for people who aren’t religious yet or recently became religious” (LU)?
Really? Who says. Why would they turn away a Jew who wants to learn more?
March 5, 2017 3:09 am at 3:09 am #1221026rebshidduchParticipantWhat should you do if the girl your mentoring did not answer at the scheduled time to learn?
March 5, 2017 3:10 am at 3:10 am #1221027LightbriteParticipantPartners in Torah:
Click below to schedule an initial talk with one of our Relationship Managers so that we can get you started.”
LU: Guessing you have insider knowledge?
March 5, 2017 3:48 am at 3:48 am #1221028Lilmod UlelamaidParticipant“Lilmod, about what would I be offended?”
I don’t know. I just got nervous that you were. But if you’re not, that’s great.
March 5, 2017 3:55 am at 3:55 am #1221029Lilmod UlelamaidParticipant“LU: Guessing you have insider knowledge?”
🙂
Any knowledge I have may be outdated and is not for public consumption if it’s not on the website. Rebshidduch is advised to go by what’s on the website. Call them and see if they will take you.
March 5, 2017 4:36 am at 4:36 am #1221030rebshidduchParticipantLilmod, I am mentoring a girl through a learning program. She did not answer me at the time for us to learn. What should I do?
March 5, 2017 7:02 am at 7:02 am #1221031yehudayonaParticipantTry calling her at a different time. Maybe something came up that made it impossible for her to answer.
March 5, 2017 6:07 pm at 6:07 pm #1221032rebshidduchParticipantyehudayona, I will then iyh call some time later this week.
March 5, 2017 11:07 pm at 11:07 pm #1221033Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantMost programs have someone on staff whom you can contact for advice. If you have a hard time reaching your student, you should contact her.
I would first follow YehudaYona’s wise advice and leave a message with my phone number. Then, if I didn’t hear back from, I would contact the staff person.
March 6, 2017 2:43 am at 2:43 am #1221034rebshidduchParticipantLilmod, problem was solved we already started learning b’h. My other question is is partners in torah the same as the one from project inspire?
March 6, 2017 2:57 am at 2:57 am #1221035Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantI don’t know – I didn’t know that Project Inspire had one.
