I was wondering if all posters here refrain from washing laundry in the 9 days? Does everyone follow this or do some of you have heterim and do wash laundry?
I only wash my children’s clothing in the nine days. I don’t remember from last year what age a child can be where it is still permissable to wash their clothing, but as of yet my kids still have clean clothes, but when I’ll have to wash some clothing I’ll call my Rov if it’s permissable to wash the clothing of my oldest child.
so now yeshiva world has become a rabbi? I think that asking a shaila is the way to go, not ask random people that you don’t know and pick the best answer….if you need help finding a competent rav, I am sure someone can help you with that…
As a Sephardy, we hold that we don’t do laundry during the week that Tishah B’Av falls in, so this week we are allowed to do laundry. This year we have it easy because, only not allowed to do laundry on Sunday, Monday, and of course Tuesday(Tishah B’Av) in this year. But no meat, shopping for non-essentials, needlework, sewing, during the 9 days.
