Over the last 48 hours the Lakewood community has seen a couple of horrible incident’s, on many communities there are safety patrol groups which many of them are heimish members and they do an amazing job! Kudos to them they’re always in the news doing great stuff. I’m not sure why this hasn’t happened in Lakewood yet? Why can’t we get a group of geshikt devoted guys to start patrolling our community?
You need Chasidim to start Shomrim. Now that the Chasidim are in the process of almost overtaking a majority of the Lakewood population, you can probably expect a Shomrim of Lakewood.

As usual, you don’t know what you’re talking about. The Shomrim patrols in Miami, L.A. and Baltimore were not started by Chasidim.
Lakewood Shomrim have been active for the past 15 years. But Joseph is Joseph. Oh by the way, they were not started by any Chassidim. In fact, there were no Chassidim living in Lakewood 15 years ago.

Hatzalah, Shomrim, Chaveirim, Bikur Cholim and the vast majority of other chesed organizations were started by Chasidim. Then replicated elsewhere, by many others, across Klal Yisroel.

This is a highly inaccurate statement. For starters, Satmar had a shull in Lakewood much more than 15 years ago, and I am sure there were many other Chassidishe shulls at time.
The Lakewood alert has an account of the Shomrim’s involvement with these crimes. It’s pitiful that Joseph is so unaware of reality.

Obviously, Lakewood and other communities don’t need to wait for Chasidim to start organizations that have already been started there by non-Chasidim.
One has to wonder whether you’ve actually ever been to the communities that you so frequently make inaccurate comments about.
UJM: There is empirical evidence that there was intelligent life and chesed endeavors within the Litvish tzibur before the invention of Chassidus.
Baltimore Shomrim is mostly a mix of Modern Orthodox and Modern Yeshivish with a few from other groups mixed in.

Of course we know that your just joking but from the truth perspective if you were serious. on another reason why they couldn’t do that is because we are all responsible to do our Hishtadlus in life rather it’s in making a living to support our families or in our family Hishtadlus etc…
Who said chasidim are the first shomrim!? Obviously, litvakim had the earliest organized militia to keep chasidim out!
