    Did you know that prisoners’ uniforms had black horizontal stripes to symbolize them being behind bars?

    The horizontal stripes made them stand our if they escaped.

    Whoa!!! According to an online magazine that experimented on this, horizontal stripes don’t make one look wider. They may actually make one look thinner and/or taller! What?

    And vertical stripes actually are unflattering, making one appear wider.
