    Why. whats the point. People just end up stabbed and killed. My father was speaking to a black police officer and the officer was saying how he was confused why the parade keeps happening and why the Jewish community doesnt stand up against it. Like its actual danger.

    Please be more specific to what Labor Day parade you are referring to. There are Labor Day parades across the USA.

    That is not a labor day parade, that is a parade that just happend to occur on Labor Day

    OP is referring to the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn that takes place on Labor Day

    Yes and we CHers hate it! Why does the parade have to be in central CH!? Why not in bedstuy !?!? U can’t even get in or out of CH!!! It’s crazy

    Crown heights does not strictly belong to Chabad, others live there too. I am sure they dont like it when The Big Parade happens on Lag Baomer and Eastern Parkway or other events. You just have to grin and bear it and try to live together

    Yeah but the mess it huge and by our parade the men and. Ucherim start after ward to clean up and 2-3 hours the st is open and clear of garbage while there is still trash on EP now…

    And the lag baoimed parade is not every year … only when it’s on a Sunday and the next one is in seven years …

    lol I volunteer there every year there’s a parade ONLY if it’s on Sunday if it’s Tuesday or Thursday there’s a rally

    770chabad yes im a CHer, and the difference between labor day parade and lag baomer parade is we dont get drunk and have stabbings and shootings etc.

    Very true….
    And 2 hours after the parade is over the street is open. And by labor day the st is not even open till very late at night or early the next morning .

    as well as its closed off from the afternoon before making it impossible to get back to ch. we went out that day and were driving around for an hour till we got in.
