Anyone know if the ready-made-mixes to brew your own beer need a hechsher, or it is the same heter of drinking regular beer without a hechsher?
Good question.
Intuitively, I’d think that all the ingredients must be kosher, since they are the beer ingredients. Unless they are giving you something different than breweries use.
I am looking at the CRC Liquor List.
They say that Coopers Home Brew Kits are under KA (Australian hechsher?)
