While I am flattered that I was chosen as your example, I must point out that the link you posted did indeed lead to an error page. When I erased the # it went to my profile.

Interesting – now Cozimjewish’s link actually worked for me. I wonder what changed since this morning.
The # is not part of the address. It refers to an area on the page for the browser to scroll to. On the main CR page, when you click on the Freshness column it takes you to http….#563748 which is the name of the last comment.
Going to http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/profile would take you to the default profile page, which would be your own.
Adding the ‘#’ doesn’t do anything. Being there is no named area on the page with that name, the browser just ignores it.
So, it seems that even if a post by you is rejected, you will
continue to see a post count 1 higher than the actual one for
the thread you attempted to post in.
How do you write <em.> or <strong.> and not have it come out as italics or bold?

What RebYidd23 meant is that by putting the symbol in his post
(known on the CR as “backtick,” and found next to the 1 key)
on either side of text, any HTML instructions in the text will be
ignored. The same effect can also be done with
<code>, butthere’s no reason to type it out when you can use backticks.
The actual name of the symbol is “grave accent.”

The Editor is in charge of the whole site, and to my knowledge, simply does not have time to respond to every email.
okay, thanks. From an old thread, it sounded like there once were email addresses to contact the moderators at, so that’s why I asked.
I do appreciate the way you are very good at responding to posts directed to you or to moderators in general.
Personally, I wish there were a better system to discuss things with moderators, because this system is not so good for certain types of discussions. Also, I don’t know which moderators are on when.
If someone sends a comment to the email that LB posted, who does it go to? Editor? Also, is there any way to send an anonymous comment?

LB – now I see the post that you are referring to. But I hadn’t seen it before! Either I missed it, or the mods had deleted it and then put it back to provide context for your post (they have been known to do that in the past).
I thought you meant that something I said was LH and I was trying to figure out why. I thought maybe you meant because I was prying too much, but I thought it was a bit extreme to consider that LH (especially since the only people it concerns are the moderators who can choose what to allow through, and Randomex, who can choose if he wishes to respond or not).

Then again, it’s not like I pay attention to every thread and every post.
