Judges and Officers you should make for yourself (singular) in all your (singular) gates…
One pshat:
all the gates of a person, his eyes, ears, mouth…need to be protected…in two ways:
1. you need to appoint judges for yourself. to think about and judge, what is the right way, what does Hashem want. why is it important. What is the reward of an Aveirah compared to it’s detriment. You need to RESOLVE to protect and control your gates.
2.now youre on the street. theres no time for contemplation and evaluation, for judging, your eyes are drawn over there..STOP! the policeman must say… this heksher might be okay..STOP!, this probably isnt really loshon hara…STOP! says the policeman.
