Just today I saw a young man on the street. He looked fairly normal, but then I noticed a pet mosquito on his hand; shockingly, he was actually allowing his pet to drink his blood! I think his pet is an inappropriate species for a Jewish person, being an insect, and he should get rid of her. Especially since she could carry diseases straight into his bloodstream. Of course, however, I did not tell him this. I passed by without a word.
Who are we to judge? Perhaps he loves it. Would you like it if someone tells you to sleep on wet grass? Same thing here.
Actually, all of our great leaders had insect pets. He wouldn’t even get the job unless he walks around with a Kupas Shratzim!
Doesn’t the Gemara say that you save blood to feed your cat?
For real people do own bugs as pets, Ive seen people with a giant Millipede or a tarantula as a pet. I think people sometimes have this giant Beatle (Its like 6-8 inches big) as a pet too

I have this little cockroach in my house. We keep her around. We even made a kiddush for her and named her last week in front of the whole shul.
Not all insects are that bad. This one throws up on me all the time.

Talking about Beatles in the CR? Fab!
I don’t know if I’d care to own either a Beatle or a beetle. People tend to scream at the sight of either, and it just ‘urts me ears.
My friend never comes to visit my house because of all the pet spiders she claims we keep. She’s always seeing spiders, but I’m not sure if they really exist.
