Dr.Brown I’m not sure if your aware but that’s exactly what the heiligeh Baal Sem Tov did!!
The Baal shem Hakodesh bought the torah of Reb Shimon Bar Yochai and the Ari Hakodesh to a practical level showing the inherit beauty and deeper meaning of everything a yid does from davening mincha to trying to make a parnassah.
The Baal Shem Hakodesh showed us being a yid isn’t confined to the beis midresh but even in the work place, with the family, etc. when infused with a recognition of Hashem the most seemingly sublime acts become holy!!
If you think no one recognizes that you should relies that thousands and thousands of yidden learn sifrei chassidus and in these days befor mashiach there is more and more of a recognization of as you call it”the esoteric parts of torah”

The Shach says that one shouldn’t learn Kabbalah before the age of 40. The Rambam says that one shouldn’t learn Kabbalah unless you already have a firm understanding of non-Kabbalistic Torah – his words are that you shouldn’t go to the Pardes until one’s stomach is filled with bread and meat.
The Besht’s teaching Kabbalah to all was just another departure from traditional Judaism, without any mesorah for it.

The first things we teach little kids is that in the beginning, Ha-Shem created the world, and that a little bit later, Ha-Shem rescued as from Mitsrayim. There is absolutely no empirical evidence for the former, and only minimal circumstantial evidence for the latter (the disappearance of the Canaanites from Eretz Yisrael and our appearance there, slightly after the time we calculate for having been rescued). Can you think of bigger fact than these? We accept the truth of these based on our kabbalah, suggesting the Jewish tradition going back to our earliest memories as a people, including teaching kabbalah to children.

    DaMoshe ARE YOU JOKING??
How are you so comfortable speaking about the Baal Shem Tov Hakodesh like that?
The greatest Tzadikem tremble when they would talk about the lofty heights of the Heiligeh baal shem and you just say what you said!!
And 2nd of all do your research because he actually did have have a mesorah from the tzadikem known as the “nistarem” all the way down to his rebbie who then told him it was time to reaveal himself!!
And 3: did Reb Chaim brisker have a mesorah for his innovative lumdish mehalech?
    no!!
it was his chiddush and thats OK because hashem but tzadikem in every doir to be mechadesh new ways we can serve him and learn his torah in that dor!!

Choosid, I’ve shared my thoughts on this before, and don’t want to write them all over again. You can find them in my previous posts.

Kabalah is Lhepech from Torah. Granted, it’s old. Very old. But also very dangerous, as can be seen from looking around the world. Most of the enemies of the Jews, over the last 2000 years (Christianiaty and Islam), come from Kabalah.

Having said that, it’s also important to remember that we need Kabalah, Ruach haKodesh, Tchias haMesim etc… (otherwise known as Prishus and Chasidus – see braisa of R Pinchas ben Yair), to survive the long and confusing Galus.

But always remember: the Torah is the #1 priority!

Don’t fall into the trap of Ruchnius!

The Bris is the Torah. Studying the Law (mishna and gemarah) and keeping it (lishmor vlaasos) .
    And that is our Tzidkus.

Numerous Torah sources indicate that serious Kabalah study
is *** ONLY *** correct for a small minority of Jews who
excel in Torah scholarship and righteousness, as defined by Torah.

Please do not feel offended by what I am about to say, but Kabalah study
is NOT for women, and NOT for young people, and not for Gentiles.

This is contrary to wicked fools who teach Kabalah to everybody.

If you are not an Orthodox Rabbi and over age 40, then Kabalah study
is probably not for you. Sorry about that!

The Shabbetai Tzvi disaster was largely caused by the Kabalah study
of many unqualified people. Why should we repeat that tragic history?

Last but not least, the Midrash clearly teaches that:
“The Jews will not be redeemed until they unite as one …”
(Midrash Tanchuma, Parshas Nitzavim, end of chapter 1).

The Jews of the world are awake.
The Jews of the world, through chassidus, already grasp the depth of our tradition.
THERE IS NOTHING NEW HERE TO LEARN BUT EVERYTHING TO LIVE!!
The inner wisdom has always been there, right at the heart of Torah. The Baal Shem Tov and our holy tzaddikim brought forth the light, that each and every Jew is precious and close to Hashem.

Listen to my words, my fellow Jews.
I speak with humility, aware of what we have been gifted. The path is clear:

HASHEM DESIRES OUR HEARTS, NOT JUST OUR KNOWLEDGE
WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH CHASSIDUS TO SHOW US THIS!
The deepest truth is simple—love Hashem, love your fellow Jew, and trust in the goodness and holiness that flows from within.

Thank you to the Yeshiva World for this chance to share these thoughts.
Be strong, be joyful, be connected.
