I just had a few questions, which I hope someone can help me with. 1. What exactly is the role of a “Jewish Chaplain”? 2. Do I have to deal with persons out of our community? 3. Will one be able to remain in his learning in kollel? A kollel guy cannot become a chaplain under most circumstances, unless he has the academic requirements to become board certified. That is other divisions of the YU, which is more than just RIETS. October 16, 2017 4:14 pm at 4:14 pm #1381945 zahavasdadParticipant There is social work training if you get Smicha from YU. To get the full chaplency you probably need the smicha AND a MSW Author Posts Viewing 6 posts - 1 through 6 (of 6 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
