I know I’ve asked a lot of questions about different high schools, but i think RTMA of the JEC is the one that will end up working out. My question is how right wing is it? Mostly modern? Left wing yeshivish? Any black-hats? Thanks
It’s a regular Modern Orthodox yeshiva. Few if any black hats. It’s a very frum yeshiva, that emphasizes a love of Torah and Judaism. A friend of mine sends his kids there, and they all have excellent middos.
R’ Teitz, who runs the JEC, is probably one of the biggest Talmidei Chachomim around, although he isn’t as widely known as many others.
I graduated from RTMA a while back. I’m think it’s changed a bit since then, but back then I found it to be somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. There were maybe one or two black hats in my class. Also probably one or two people whose families weren’t shomer shabbos. Most of the people were towards the middle.
I found that I came out with a solid education in both Limudei Kodesh and limudei chol.
