Also, I disagree with the reason you give here for why people bring their children along
when attempting to move to another country (the alternative being what, exactly?).
Random, you mean this ?
I agree with you. That that is not the sole reason why they bring their children. Of course. They want to keep their family together.
But when they get caught and say you can’t punish me because then my child….
That’s when they are using their child as a human shield.
What did they think would happen to their children when they got caught? They knew the danger when they left their house. Deal with it or admit you were banking on the fact that you felt somewhat immune because you have kids with you ”aka human shields ”
I can’t see a third choice.
By the way you never answered my question.
You said ”you asked for this ”
I asked you, ”I asked for what? ”
I’m very bad at getting hints. I can think of way too many possibilities of what you could mean. The odds are against me guessing correctly. So how about you just tell me.March 2, 2020 12:54 pm at 12:54 pm #1836917LOTR92ParticipantReb Eliezer.
I don’t think you quite understand what i am trying to say. The president is not a role model. The president leads the country. He has no reason to be a role model to your child, his job is to keep your child safe, healthy, and secure. Other than that he has no obligation to your, or anyone else’s children. He has a job mandated to him by the founding fathers through the constitution, not from the Torah. He isn’t Jewish, and has no reason to do what the Torah says.March 2, 2020 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm #1836934Reb EliezerParticipantIt does not matter that he is not suppose be a role model, but people used to look up to their leaders. On the side, the Rambam says that a talmid chacham makes a Chilul Hashem if he does not live up to the expectation of the people. The British royal family lost also this quality when they became close to the people, so they saw who they really were.

She has traveled to Japan and met Sugihara’s family. To say that Sugihara was immoral is the height of ingratitude. I am glad that you remain anonymous.

about how migrants are dealt with or is it American citizens?March 2, 2020 4:10 pm at 4:10 pm #1837013klugeryidParticipantNever mind what “this” means. Is it actually the migrants complaining

american citizens
the migrants actually seem to say that trump is very fairMarch 3, 2020 7:15 am at 7:15 am #1837214LOTR92ParticipantTrump isn’t a talmid chochom. So he isn’t perfect, he still has no good reason to be a good role model, he just needs good policy. And historically politicians were never good role models, they were always known as corrupt.

(You can put

or at least put what you want to quote in quotation marks.)March 3, 2020 8:38 pm at 8:38 pm #1837436klugeryidParticipantI’m responding to the stupid liberals
