You are permitted to read it over and over. This may also be read on shabbos and Yom Tov according to most poskim.

Trump freed Rubashkin. He’s an honorary עמיתך

Gavriel, not to mention reversing a seventy year injustice and recognizing Yerushalayim as our capital as well as defunding our enemies.

I’l give my opinion after I’ve read it……………..

Personally I think it’s a comedy about Trump and a tragedy for America

If that’s the one that has a warning label about it being fiction, then it’s slander which is worse than gossip.

Just as in the Roy Moore thread, Joseph makes a claim that implies he’s a navi.

Lightbright: absolutely yes. There’s dirt on the Kushners and probably other Yidden as well. And from what I hear, it’s not a “Kosher״ book by any standard. It’s basically a tabloid in book form. As to how much of it is true, it doesn’t really matter Yiddishkeit-wise, but the author obviously cared more about being a top seller than sticking to the truth.

Gemarah (somewhere) brings the Passuk od Koheles:
    גם במדעך מלך אל תקלל
It’s not wise to curse, vilify a king, a man in power. So much more so this president who wields great power. HaShem sent him to this position, obviously he’s there for a purpose.

Say what you want about him (actually don’t), he’s done a terrific job on bringing this place out of the dump his predecessor through us in. He’s actually shown signs of leadership; he’s not afraid of someone’s else’s opinions, positions. No one is perfect… he’s a trillion times better than the one he replaced, and the one who c”v almost one.

I think the Jewish Community as a whole (worldwide..I am from UK) owes an enormous Hakoras Hatov to Pres Trump. It is therefore incumbent upon any public group/media outlet with our community to PUBLICLY refute the book. We should not be seen to make any criticism of him at all. Particularly as the President is known to be a sensitive type. (which is a fact not a criticism. I am also sensitive.)
I was disappointed to see that one of the weeklies (Chareidi) had quite a critical sentence about him this last week.
Maybe Aguda or OU will put out a statement supporting him.

Trump is an ohev Yisrael ben ohev Yisrael. The fact that the Clinton crime family soldiers are combining with the sour grapes crowd says a great deal. The best (or worst) are the shrinks who diagnose Trump without having ever met him, let alone examined him.

Sorry, I should have reread the OP’s question. I meant that it’s absolutley L”H, and NOT muttar to read.

    Thanks Mammele for clarification 🙂

I understood what you meant in your original post, so thank you because now I realize that my OP and Title are conflicting Yes or No questions. Sorry about that!

    Thanks again 🙂

That’s merely providing free advertising for the book. It’s better to ignore it.

Well since your are sensitive, I won’t say that is one of the dumbest suggestions I think we have read here …I first thought you were engaging in some sarcasm or satire but then I realized you might be serious. We should always respond positively and show hakoras ha’tov when our elected leaders take actions that we support but should not remain silent in the face of actions we oppose, weather in relation to religious or secular matters. Too many American yidden sat on their hands in the late 1930s right through the end of WWII while the American president refused to take action which would have saved tens of thousand of yiddeshe lives. Trump’s presidency so far has been a very mixed outcome and to feel we have to forego our voice for one instance of reversing an unjust sentence, reminder that the other case of a Presidential pardon was for a racist sheriff in Arizona who was condemned by most of those supporting SMR’s release.

Dor, “weather in relation”. It depends on which way the wind is blowing (I think that you meant “whether”).
