That doesn’t qualify as “direct Sakana”. Would you permit Chillul Shabbos etc because maybe some Goy in Europe might think that all Jews _ (fill in the blank)?
The bottom line is that while a position permitting organ donation after cardiac death is not inconceivable, it is by no means a given, and your rant against Gedolei HaPoskim was WAY out of line!!!
February 21, 2012 3:09 pm at 3:09 pm #853714cherrybimParticipantIn my opinion, Jews have no right to complain about crime and killers going free if they do not serve and leave it up to the chalerias to make up the majority of jury panels. It’s mighty tough fighting a jury where the majority is those types; I know. It is pikiach nefesh. But to the complainers, you are a bunch of so called frum hypocrites who will be the first looking for an organ when you are desperate for life; ABG.
Years ago, gantz faina yidden served in the army, it showed hakaras hatov, gratitude, to the USA, our medina, for what it has done to permit yidden to practice and grow in our religion. Today, we have spoiled complainers who are kafui tova.

If you don’t know the definition of hypocrisy -don’t use it! Didn’t you take Vocabulary in College? You must of gone to a college like me where Eng. 1 – the teacher didn’t hardly teach a word of Engish or writing. She spent most of the time spouting her sick liberal ideas/philosophy. Maybe this is why you don’t know what hypocrisy is, but you worship liberalism?!?!

Oh, so I see, if Frum people didn’t get out of jury duties then most of the juries would be made up of Frum people, right?
I guess they don’t take juries made up of equal percent of the pop. -if they have Frum people in the jury pool -then they will take, to make up the majority of the jury, mostly Frum people?
Btw, in spite of the makeup of the juries in this country, by & far they do a good job. The problem is the liberal criminal laws that are in place in this country. The lack of death penalty laws in lots’ of states. The lack of timely punishments. A death row inmate should be allowed one appeal and that’s it. He/she shouldn’t be allowed to linger on & on! All states should have a “3 strikes and you’re out law”. And it shouldn’t matter what the three are unless one or all are traffic violations or things of equal nature. But something like shoplifting should be included. A shoplifter is a thief as much as s/o in Iowa who lied on two bank papers and got 37 years. If s/o shoplifts 3 times -then they should get life. Really, if the Goyim followed the Torah -after one time – he/she would be executed!
