Hi, For work related reasons I need to get a smartphone. I would like to put on a filter that doesant allow you to download apps and I would just have the app I need for work, delete all the other apps put on the filter and not be able to access anything else. I know they have this with Apple devices called restrictions where you can just take off the AppStore. Does any1 know of anything similar for Android? Plz help

They will have the password making it impossible to open any app that you don’t want (including the play store so you can’t download new apps.) This option doesn’t delete the other apps from the phone but makes it impossible to use them without entering a password.
Another option is to have a parent or friend create the password. This isn’t as fool proof as having TAG do it but is definitely better than nothing.May 27, 2020 11:29 am at 11:29 am #1865369flatbushaskanParticipantthere are many options available. If you have a modern android phone and it supports Google Family Link, than thats a very good option. If not than you can also use qustodio, or kaspersky safe kids. But with all these you need someone else to set the password to the account otherwise its worthless.
If you need more info, just ask.May 27, 2020 11:29 am at 11:29 am #1865370flatbushaskanParticipantAlso from personal experience, DO NOT use an app locker, most if not all of them are easy to circumvent.

You did not mention if you need use of the browser or it’s just a work app you need. If it’s just a work app, then TAG is probably your best bet. They can lock it with a password.
If you need the browser, then you need a filter. Gentech is definitely a great choice. Keep in mind – basically any filter takes some time getting used to. It may be too restrictive intialy or the opposite. You need to customize it with the. Meshimer is also a good option from what I’ve heard.May 28, 2020 12:12 pm at 12:12 pm #1865718matzllcParticipantKosherCell.org sells these type of filters. They can install it onto any Samsung device remotely. They also sell all types of pre filtered smartphones including Apple devices.

May 31, 2020 9:27 pm at 9:27 pm #1866216JosephParticipantNyBochur: If I’m not mistaken, each TAG office has its own policy whether or not they charge.
