streek – I have seen comments like this before and I’m just wondering if anyone thinks about how it must make some of the present posters feel. Perhaps saying those posters are missed would be kinder than ‘dissing’ those who are here. (nothing personal, just had this question)
Old timers? Please. OURTorah joined just over a year ago. Eclipse joined 3 years ago. WIY was about 4 years ago.
There are posters who joined when the CR was first launched, in January 2007. My friend Feif Un was one of the original posters. Look back at some of the really old threads and you’ll see who the old timers were.
I miss Feif Un posting here. Luckily I can talk to him face to face!

for a tekufa there many of the things I said would get twisted around and it got frustrating. Plus I figured if I am not being helpful to anyone why try. Time passes tho and I try to pick my topics carefully. Glad to see you, btw.
Thanks for the shout out. But for the record, I predate two thirds of the list of “old-timers”.

I see the mistake that you made: The list of threads in someone’s profile is listed in the order that that person posted on them, however if that person in the future posts again on one of those threads, it will move to the top of the list. Therefore if you see that the bottom of my list is from three years ago and suddenly it goes to six months ago it could be that in the interim I was active, and all the threads I posted on during that time I also posted on within the last six months. That being said it is true that I was very sporadic during that time (I think I only posted on the Techeiles thread for that entire period but lemaaseh I was here). The Slifkin thread is what drew me back into the main coffee room because it seemed to me that no one was adequately representing one side of the issue.

There are some posters who joined right at the beginning who still post.
Charliehall joined on 1/2/07, and he still posts.
Joseph (the original one) joined on 9/20/06. He still posts under many different names.
yiddishemishpacha joined on 5/2/08. He last posted a month ago.
Those are just a few names I found by looking at a very old thread.

This is the time of your to take pause and remember the tale (tall tale?) of her walking along the beach collecting seashells and watching the waves crashing on the shore (with her dog, was it?) when a group of adorable children invited her in to hear T’kiyas Shofar at their charming beachfront house.
Where has aurora777 gone?

I have wondered what happened to her. Seems like she just disappeared with no explanation! Maybe she found out for certain that she was Jewish and is working on coming back “home”? I hope her mother is doing well and recovering.

Taf-shin-lamed-tes was 34 years ago.
That really is an old-timers’ song, though – I just remembered that this year was Taf-shin-ayin-gimmel! Boro Park survived (of course).
(Fortunately for him, there were no predictions in the song for this year. When 5784 rolls around, watch the esrog prices! But the prediction for 5796 is simply impossible [a shteeble every 15 feet].)
