    Well, I can’t drive yet…

But honestly? I’m in the city a lot, and even if I just park at home, it’s so, so easy in a SmartCar. Those are SO insanely cool. Double-parking is just not a thing when you have one of those.

My mom just gets nervous because there’s no trunk or hood in case of a crash, and there’s no room for groceries, other people, etc., which of course is what’s preventing me from getting one.

LOL! Hahahaha! Wow, I just crack myself up.

No Nazi cars for me (sorry, Biology). I’d want a Jaguar.

But you have no objections to a car from a Jew-hater like Ford? If you tell me he is long gone, so are the Nazis (who didn’t even own Mercedes, unlike Ford.) And Ford’s grandchildren still own a majority controlling stake in Ford Corporation voting shares. And today is Chairman of Ford.

They’re not owned by Ford anymore.

It’s interesting to see how many organizations are actually financed by Ford’s foundation.

Biology- Ford was anti-Semitic, but some German car companies actually labored Jews under the Nazis.

Most people cannot bring themselves to drive a car boasting the logo of a company who tortured their brothers.

That is why in “compensation”, Israel is given German cars at a discount. Ford is a different story.- He was just an anti-Semite

(I’m sure like many others at that time).

(Because FDR was an anti-Semite, I can’t use dimes?)

Ironically, one of the higher-ups in Ford is a Jew, and may some day become the next CEO of Ford motors (Henry’s turning in his grave)

I’d take the most expensive car available, then sell it, so I can afford to pay for more important things.

You know, this would be a great “serial story” type thread. To make a funny, interesting one.

My husband and I have very different taste in cars. Although there are a few we agree on, we’ve decided that when the time comes that we really need a car on a regular basis, we’ll lease and trade off choosing the model every three years.

I really like “boxy” shaped cars: Scion XB, Nissan Cube, and Honda Element. I also like pickup trucks (haven’t done enough research on those yet, but so far I like Chevy Silverado) and some Volvos (again, haven’t done enough research) and the Chevy Volt.

My husband doesn’t like the look of the boxy cars. He also prefers sedans, while I prefer crossovers or SUVs (I’ll probably win on this point once we start having children, iy”H). He likes small, fuel-efficient cars: Toyota Prius, smart car, and MINI Cooper.

At the July 4 event we went to last week, a local dealership showed up with three display cars (Infiniti) and raffled off a weekend rental. We didn’t win, but we did have a long conversation with a salesman and he showed us the car’s features. Infiniti is beyond our price range right now (and we’re also not in the market for another 9-12 months), but we both liked it and plan to test drive it at some point.

I’d prefer any model that has at least most of it’s features still operational, and fairly good exterior. Not excellent condition, because I’d like to hold on to it.

I once saw a perfect looking car with taped on lights etc. The owner told me he did that so it shouldn’t look so attractive.

Why is someone willing to buy us all free cars? Did Bill Gates finally realize how important we coffee room posters are?

ok but honestly, my favorite car doesnt win points for bhp, torque, mpg, 0-60 ot any of that stuff. I would pick a Porsche carerra GT.

    sweetest car ever built.

Thanks Goq, hope you’re doing well.

crazybrit, that’s awesome! What car will you use? You won’t meet me there this summer, although I do plan on tackling that track sometime. Also want to try Imola. I actually recently got back from doing a nice road trip up the pacific coast in a Mustang GT rental. Totally worth it.

I am very opposed to buying German cars. I don’t think that we should contribute profits to the country that murdered so many of our people. A few years ago, I bought a Volkswagen and just smashed it to pieces with a crowbar.

    #1105540

Veltz Meshugener, are you being serious? If so, I really have no words…

I’d never drive a Ford or a German car. It’s too soon to forgive them for what they did to us. BMW, Mercedes, and VW were all companies complicit in the Final Solution.

The helige Admor of Shaputz, Moreinu v’Rabeinu Harav Hagaon Shloimele Rosenbaum, shlita, has stated publicly that it’s assur to have a radio in the car. As long as someone can give me a car without a radio (or at least smash the radio with a hammer so it doesn’t work), I would take it.

I’d get a simple Honda Civic. There’s nothing extraordinary about them and they don’t stand out amongst the millions of others on the road. This would be especially helpful when I kidnap a child and the police are looking for one of the most popular models on the market.
