Intro: First off, I’m sorry if my grammer is not perfect I went to a Yeshiva where we did learned english two hours a day. But the fact of the matter is, I was not an A student in my grades. Thats how my brain is. But B”H I’m not complaining, I grew up got married have my own family and I’m trying to raise my children the best I can.
What I want to say:
I have to admit, or should say confess I have accsess to the internet still from the dail up days. I would say about ten years now. I’m observing certain things, and came to the conclution that even though some might swear, the internet has no affect on thier yiddishkeit, the thing thats bothering me is getting worse and worse. And the truth is, some might say its not only the internet it could be in real life as well. Which could be true, but on the internet you dont have to show your face and you can still say and do thing that are horrible and get a way with it. And maybe you won’t have to pay a price for it, but maybe you will, or someone else will.
What am I talking about?
Ok, lets say you sit in the doctors office in the area of Coney Island Avenue, or Eastern Parkway, or 13th avenue, or on a crowded Subway car or anywhere else and a Black/African American person is sitting next to you, and the TV has the news on about the President or anyone else for that matter, would you dear burst out and say, oh I wish their is a black out in the white house tommorow? I’m just saying it as one example. What’s going on here? Everyone has accsess to the internet, everyone could write what what they want. And the worst thing is, If you ask people that understand how the brain works. They’ll tell you, when you read somthing that’s printed it gets registerd in your brain much faster by a lot of people than let’s say if you would of just heard it. I mean it has to be true, I just read it on the internet. Thats how all the blogs and news sites are built. And the truth is if you think about it, thats how news papers are as well. But if you read the paper while sitting on your couch you don’t have whom to let it out on. by rthe time you come to the coffee room in shul you calmed down. But you still say, you heard what happend? you don’t say I read in the paper this morning that so and so repoter claims that this is what happend. You know it happend because jo shmo printed it.
So what’s really bothering me? We all know that every news site has a comment section and the hate that is going on there is so horrible. It looks like a civil war.
So what am I saying? unfortunatly if you follow some Heimishe people on the internet twitter or by text you would know what i’m talking about. The sadest thing is that these people don’t think. If they would think they would not only be afraid to write these thing but also ashamed. I knew plenty Yidden and erlicha Yidden from the older generation and warent afarid to tell a goy good morning. Thats how my parents thought us, to greet all our neighbors. How dose a Yid have the Chutzpa to tweet racist jokes? And if a gentile steels a kids bike suddenly he’s a racist.
I’m not talking about a grown up having his opinion on politics if it has affect on him or the pepole around him. Let’s say taxes or who knows what. But to make jokes? And then we attack pepole just because I read somwhere that you are related to someone that has a cousen that was arested. I think m point is clear I’m realy sorry for writting such a long speech.
And please don’t think I voted for President Obama because I used him as an example. We need to respect everyone. Derech Ertz Kudmu L’Torah

Nevertheless, it should be noted that in the article referenced as an example (parenthetically, how did that link get through the mods?), the survey was of a sample of 365 tweets. I would think that this is too low a sample from which to draw conclusive results.
