Driving around on Purim I saw an old 1980s Station Wagon. The kind many of our parents owned at one time or another. I got nostalgic and really want to own one of those. Don’t think DW shares my feelings though 🙁
March 23, 2011 7:12 pm at 7:12 pm #752151s2021MemberI always wanted a station wagon! Ther so cute and funny!!
March 23, 2011 7:17 pm at 7:17 pm #752152GrandmasterMemberWould coveting it not involve the issur of jealousy?
March 23, 2011 7:29 pm at 7:29 pm #752153MindOverChatterParticipantNow that’s weird. I heard of guys wishing for a BMW, Ferrari… But THIS?!
March 23, 2011 7:39 pm at 7:39 pm #752154truth be toldMemberCan you drive without power stearing?
March 23, 2011 7:45 pm at 7:45 pm #752155ShrekParticipantdid it have fake wood panelling? a rear-facing back seat? sign me up!
March 23, 2011 7:53 pm at 7:53 pm #752156bptParticipantI’m not surprised.
Nothing screams YESHIVISH as loud as a 80’s station wagon (extra points, if you can get one with the wood paneling!)
March 23, 2011 8:01 pm at 8:01 pm #752157AinOhdMilvadoParticipantI’d like a 1930’s roadster!
They should put the PT Cruiser on steroids, boost it’s size in all dimensions by about 30 %, add running boards, and WOW, THAT would be a great ride!

He doesn’t want it because “yenem” has it, he wants it because it’s nostalgic.
March 23, 2011 8:32 pm at 8:32 pm #752159AinOhdMilvadoParticipantbtw…
as available extras on my Hyper PT Cruiser, –
they should offer white Fedoras and Tommy-guns!
Look out Al Capone!
March 23, 2011 8:58 pm at 8:58 pm #752160HeshyMembertruth be told, why do you ask, do you have one for me?
I think it had the fake wood and certainly had the rear back seat.
BMWs and Ferraris ain’t got nothing on the charm of a 1980s, American station wagon !
March 23, 2011 9:00 pm at 9:00 pm #752161HeshyMembers2021, personally I wouldn’t refer to them as cute, but OK.
March 23, 2011 9:14 pm at 9:14 pm #752162Sender AvMemberI kind of know what you mean…I think things we “Better” back then. We had a station wagon with a “Backity back” as we liked to call it.

March 24, 2011 12:38 am at 12:38 am #752164metrodriverMembertruth be told; It’s Power “Steering”. Anyway. ALL the 1980s cars had power steering. The automakers stopped manufacturing station wagons. Now, they’re bringing them back with a fancy name. “Crossover” vehicle.

Thanks for the correction. During the day, I often post too quickly and do not check my spelling, or even reread my posts. I should though

March 24, 2011 3:18 pm at 3:18 pm #752168aries2756ParticipantI was always the “youngest” and had to sit on the backwards seat. It made me car sick!
March 24, 2011 4:10 pm at 4:10 pm #752169metrodriverMembercommonsense; (I don’t know if the Mods are going to let this one through… But.) I’m stating without hesitation, that you are a… Lady Driver. Don’t ask me why! (A Freilich’n After Shushan Purim.)
