…then we get President Pence 🙂
May 18, 2017 7:36 am at 7:36 am #1280296ready nowParticipantAnd I hope he doesn’t.
May 18, 2017 10:46 am at 10:46 am #1280446Ex-CTLawyerParticipantImpeachment is not enough. The Senate must also convict him.
May 18, 2017 11:22 am at 11:22 am #1280486HealthParticipantMW13 – You can hope whatever you want, but it doesn’t mean it will happen.
The problem with the DemonCrats is that they’re sore losers!
They claim Trump is an obstructionist, but the truth is that they are.May 18, 2017 12:48 pm at 12:48 pm #1280542porParticipantI’ve heard that bookmakers in Las Vegas are giving odds on Trump’s likelihood of surviving a year in office. Does anyone know what odds they’re giving?
May 18, 2017 1:31 pm at 1:31 pm #1280576GadolhadorahParticipantThe best oddsmakers are the bookies in London who are now showing a 38% likelihood that Trump will not complete his 4 year term…problem is that would cover either an impeachment vote (and Senate conviction), invocation of the 25th Amendment following a coup de’ tat by Pence and the cabinet, OR the Trumpkopf simply getting bored and Tweeting one morning that he has sucessfully drained the Swamp, made America great again and is resigning from office so he can go back to NYC and chase chipmonks in Central Park.
May 18, 2017 1:49 pm at 1:49 pm #1280594DovidBTParticipantHow historically accurate have the bookies in London been? Did they correctly predict the outcome of the U.S. Presidential election?
Trump’s success has a lot to do with the people of the U.S. If they accept him as the constitutionally elected President and work together to help him improve the nation, he has far better chances of success than if they continue behaving as sore losers and try to destroy him at every opportunity.
May 18, 2017 1:54 pm at 1:54 pm #1280599🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantcry all you want, it is still better than what could have been
**double shudder**
May 18, 2017 1:57 pm at 1:57 pm #1280607JosephParticipantThose same London bookmakers gave Trump a 3% likelihood of becoming president.
May 18, 2017 4:38 pm at 4:38 pm #1280658👑RebYidd23ParticipantAgain, how do you even pronounce DemonCrat?
May 18, 2017 4:43 pm at 4:43 pm #1280671👑RebYidd23ParticipantHe won on that 3% chance. They were right.
May 18, 2017 4:43 pm at 4:43 pm #1280672👑RebYidd23ParticipantIt’s not soccer. Continuing to fight for what you believe in does not make you a sore loser.
May 18, 2017 6:05 pm at 6:05 pm #1280729👑RebYidd23ParticipantWe don’t know what would have been.
(I still think it’s hilarious that we call ourselves democratic.)May 18, 2017 7:04 pm at 7:04 pm #1280732HealthParticipantYidd 23 -“Continuing to fight for what you believe in does not make you a sore loser”
And what do the DemonCrats believe in?!? I’ll tell you some of the things:
1. Gay marriage.
2. Abortion on demand.
3. No death penalty.
4. Unrestricted access to the US.
5. No enforcement on the illegals that are living here.
I could go on and on, but I don’t see the point!May 18, 2017 7:30 pm at 7:30 pm #1280754👑RebYidd23ParticipantIt doesn’t matter specifically what the Democrats believe in, but just because it’s not the same thing the Reflublicans believe in doesn’t mean that continuing to stand for what they believe in is a sore-loser thing to do.
I personally am almost as anti-Democrat as you are, it’s just that I’m also almost as anti-Republican as I am anti-Democrat.May 18, 2017 7:45 pm at 7:45 pm #1280761DovidBTParticipant“It’s not soccer.”
Actually, it is.
For the last couple of decades, U.S. presidential elections have been treated exactly like sports events. Regardless of who wins, shortly afterwards the focus shifts to the next election, which is four years in the future. That’s insane.
May 18, 2017 8:19 pm at 8:19 pm #1280770👑RebYidd23ParticipantIf you call a tail a leg…
May 18, 2017 9:37 pm at 9:37 pm #1280795GadolhadorahParticipantTo RebYid23
Chazal (along with Reb Avraham Lincoln) bring down that under certain circumstances a tail can be considered a leg for purposes of extending the length of t’chum Shabbos. Having said that, its not clear if having Hillary instead of Mike Pence as our Supreme Leader will make a tail’s worth of difference in the lives of 99% of Americans.May 18, 2017 11:30 pm at 11:30 pm #1280827Yechi HamelechParticipantrooting for your president to fail is like rooting for your pilot to crash
May 18, 2017 11:48 pm at 11:48 pm #1280843👑RebYidd23ParticipantNo it’s not. The president does not actually lead the country. This country was a lot better off politically six hundred years ago when there was no president.
May 19, 2017 9:36 am at 9:36 am #1280942ubiquitinParticipantchochom
If your pilot was flying your plane (deliberately or due to sheer incompetence) into an abyss wouldn’t you hope he failed.
All the more so if he had a (more) qualified co-pilot ready to take over.
Saying, well he is the pilot I hope he is successful regardless of what he tries to do is not a logical position to take
May 19, 2017 10:05 am at 10:05 am #1280958Ex-CTLawyerParticipantRebYidd23………………..
This country didn’t exist 600 years ago.
It is only about 400 years since European colonization started. The ‘country’ is only 240 years old.I don’t believe the country was better off when it was a group of colonies ruled by European monarchs with established state religions, slavery, etc.
May 19, 2017 10:15 am at 10:15 am #1280961Ex-CTLawyerParticipantChochom……………..
Trump is NOT my President, he is the country’s President.
I don’t have to root for him to fail, he is a failure.
I’m desirous that he depart, I’m tired of that laughing stock embarrassing us.May 19, 2017 10:37 am at 10:37 am #1280966🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantCTLawyer – I know it’s an old overdone circular topic but it aint about looks. Superficiality has its place but… evil dressed well is still worse than incompetence with no table manners.
May 19, 2017 10:43 am at 10:43 am #1280971Yechi HamelechParticipantyou guys missed the entire point of the message. although you cant really compare the pilot of a plane to the president of the country, the message is still the same: once you get a president you work with him; you don’t try to undermine him, make fun of him, or G-D forbid compare him to Hitler ym”sh. and i’m sure all of you agree that a pilot of a plane is more like the president of a country than Hitler ym”s is to the president of the country like so many democrats say (or Demoncrats just to get rebbyid annoyed (: )
May 19, 2017 11:42 am at 11:42 am #1280997🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“once you get a president you work with him;”
absolutely correct. And a lesson for appropriate way to handle principals, teachers, guests etc. Short of a shidduch suggestion I think it’s an important life lesson. Thanks for that.
May 19, 2017 12:30 pm at 12:30 pm #1281002👑RebYidd23ParticipantSix hundred years ago, America was better off politically.
Six hundred years ago, the United States was also better off politically. This is because a non existent country has zero politics and politics is bad.May 19, 2017 1:05 pm at 1:05 pm #1281013ubiquitinParticipantchochom
“although you cant really compare the pilot of a plane to the president of the country,”
Agreed. Though you made the comparison. And it is a silly comparison. Hitler or not Hitler IF the President/pilot is ruining the country (intentionally or not) then you hope he fails.
Of course you might argue he isnt ruining the country, and that may be fair. but the pilot analogy is nonsense.
May 19, 2017 1:36 pm at 1:36 pm #1281017Yechi HamelechParticipantubiquitin,
search my analogy in the exact same words i phrased it in the google search box and youll see that its not my line.

May 19, 2017 3:22 pm at 3:22 pm #1281027ubiquitinParticipantyes
ive heard from other its still silly.
a chochom like yourself shouldnt repeat silly things‘”once you get a president you work with him”
Disgaree complely . Here the pilot comparison is apt. IF the pilot is drunk, doesnt know what hes doing
certainly if he announces “flying this plane is much more complicated than i realized”
you should never say well he is here already lets let him fly and see how he does. Have the copilot/vice principal/substitute teacher take over.May 19, 2017 4:10 pm at 4:10 pm #1281055Yechi HamelechParticipantFirst of all, thank you for your compliment. i actually called my self chochom because i saw someone else with the name Gadolhadorah, reb yid, etc. so i decided to do something similiar.
now imagine if you were president and every single news outlet and famous politician constantly ridiculed you called you mentally unstable etc.. you would also probably say “i thought being president would be easier”
“easier” does not necessarily mean “i thought my responsibilties would be easier”
it could also mean “Wow, i so did not expect to be attacked so fiercely by a bunch of sore losers”Next, another thing that Trump is (unjustly) made fun of about is because of his “terrible” cabinet picks. “anti semite” might be the biggest accusation against many of his picks. a copilot besides flying when the pilot takes a break also helps the pilot when hes doing something wrong. so “have the copilot/vice principal/substitute teacher take over” wouldnt work well either according to the democrats because who want an “Anti semite” as their president?
May 19, 2017 4:44 pm at 4:44 pm #1281058Ex-CTLawyerParticipantYou can not work with a megalomaniac. He only gives orders.
The sooner he is forced from office, the better off this country will be.
His entire administration including the freeloading family members and in-laws have to go….possibly to prisonMay 19, 2017 4:46 pm at 4:46 pm #1281064YW Moderator-29 👨💻ModeratorWow CT, that has got to be the most dramatic, overly emotional not very logical post I’ve ever seen you produce!

And does not mention “apartheid” until he’s old and senile.

Worth quoting.
May 21, 2017 10:25 am at 10:25 am #1281301DovidBTParticipantI wonder if this is relevant to the “dispensation”:
“Likewise, it is permitted to attend to affairs of the public on Shabbos, such as going to the governor or to the meeting hall of the government officials, to speak on behalf [of the community], because affairs of the public are considered mitzvah necessities.”
Kitzur Shulchan Aruch 90:5That seems to be based on Shabbos 113a: “‘From seeking your wants.’ [Isaiah 58:13] [This teaches that] your wants are forbidden [on the Sabbath, i.e. one must refrain from activities that further his own financial affairs], but the wants of Heaven[, that is, things involving a mitzvah,] are permitted.”

Stop with the liberal hypocritsy! And I’m tired of all the DemonCrat leaders!
Your opinion of him is based on your political agenda.
But one thing I’ll tell you, if he behaves as badly as Billy Boy, while he’s president, (remember Monica), I’ll support impeaching him.May 21, 2017 12:44 pm at 12:44 pm #1281388Ex-CTLawyerParticipantHealth…………..
There is no hypocrisy in my opinion of Trump. I have detested him for decades.
My opinion has nothing to do with political agenda.
He is a thrice married serial adulterer.
He has been through business bankruptcies multiple times.
He and his companies don’t pay workers/suppliers/contractors on time or in full.
He is enriching his family by virtue of his office and behavior.BTW>>>I also attended the Wharton School of Finance at the same time Donny did. I am not impressed

May 22, 2017 8:17 pm at 8:17 pm #1282914Yechi HamelechParticipantWhat really bothers me about the democrats is that they are LOOKING to find fault in even the tiniest things. Rumors had spread that Trump took down a picture frame of churchill I think or maybe Martin Luther king and then when reporters where in the ovel room they blocked the picture frame with the camera equipment!
Also, before Trump chose Neil gorsich as Supreme Court judge, the democrats promised that they would their hardest to block the Supreme Court pick from being approved by the senate
BEFORE THEY EVEN KNEW WHO THE PICK WAS!!!!!!!
This just proves that the democrats don’t care about the country’s success. They just care that trump fails
May 23, 2017 6:39 am at 6:39 am #1283087Ex-CTLawyerParticipantWe have different opinions of his actions that can be considered impeachable offenses.
I believe he is in violation of Article I Section 9 of the US Constitution, specifically the “emoluments” clause. He is being enriched by foreign government spending at his properties.
May 23, 2017 7:47 am at 7:47 am #1283086ubiquitinParticipantHealth
I dont think you know what a hypocrite is. Nothing you mention in your post is hypocritical. On th eother hand if you criticise Obama for being “born in Kenya” or Bush for whitewater or Paula Jones you ARE being a hypocrite, since here you take the strange view that Once elected things done prior to being President arent relevant
Chochom
Im not sure what you mean by “The Democrats” One outlet (Time) reported that a bust of MLK was removed, a few hours later he apologized.
Regarding the suprem court, yes the Democrats acted like Babies, but can you blame them the seat was stolen. (I dont think anybody disptues this) You can argue that it is better for the country that it was stolen, if reveresed the Democrats wouldve stolen it to. But none of this changes the fact that the seat was Obama’s to fill. OF course the Democrats would act out “BEFORE THEY EVEN KNEW WHO THE PICK WAS” The rpublicans did the same with Gerland.“This just proves that the democrats don’t care about the country’s success. They just care that trump fails”
As Ct lawyer aptly pointed out. Trump was a failure at day one. His success is his brand/image nothing more. and his brand/image is not something most peope (even many of his supporters) want in the whitehouse let alone as the face of the countryMay 23, 2017 7:47 am at 7:47 am #1283093Ex-CTLawyerParticipantChochom….Please learn to spell Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch’s name.
The move to block/delay the appointment wasn’t about Trump. It was members of the Senate exacting retribution for the Republican Senators refusing to even hold a hearing on the appointment of Judge Merrick Garland to the SCOTUS. The hearing could have been held and the Rs could have voted no.May 23, 2017 7:48 am at 7:48 am #1283100ready nowParticipantPlease close down this thread and even delete it.
May 23, 2017 7:49 am at 7:49 am #1283102joe shmoeParticipantThey proclaim to be democrats as in democracy. Sad thing is they’re democracy as I get my way. Watch out if I dont. 3 year Olds either win their games legally or they just mess up the gaim and claim the other side cheated. Waaa I’m not playing anymore. emoluments specifically exempts the president. Look it up self proclaimed lawyer. He was democrats elected, if I like it or not. The Democrats are turning into the party of obstructionists.
