Why am I saying this you ask? No. It’s not that I’m
Trying to show off or anything Chas v’shalom
…I’m showing you that there Is a solution
To the crazy gas pricesJuly 18, 2022 9:11 am at 9:11 am #2106756MazeltovParticipantAlso got it, 10-15 to fill up a tank of 250 miles
July 18, 2022 10:47 am at 10:47 am #2106789☕️coffee addictParticipantBalabus
Not everyone can afford an electric car and when gas prices go down you will still have to pay off your car
July 18, 2022 10:47 am at 10:47 am #2106792Happy new yearParticipantHow much does it cost?
July 18, 2022 10:48 am at 10:48 am #2106797Yserbius123ParticipantA Tesla Model S is around 2.5 times the price of a hybrid sedan. You’re paying a good $300 a month more. Which is about 65 gallons of gas at current prices. Which is about 1800 miles in a hybrid sedan. Where are you driving for 1800 miles a month?
July 18, 2022 10:50 am at 10:50 am #2106802Reb EliezerParticipantIf one has money to buy a tesla, money for gas does not matter.
July 18, 2022 10:50 am at 10:50 am #2106794ujmParticipantThere’s been a recall. Please do the safe thing and turn it back in.
July 18, 2022 10:50 am at 10:50 am #2106793Happy new yearParticipantdo they have minivans?
July 18, 2022 11:40 am at 11:40 am #2106823commonsaychelParticipantInteresting, I didn’t know they sold car to people under 18
July 18, 2022 11:40 am at 11:40 am #2106826akupermaParticipantIf you can afford a Tesla, I suspect that a great many frum organization will move you to the top of their lists of people who clearly have enough wealth that they can be called on to help fill up our community’s financial needs.
July 18, 2022 1:29 pm at 1:29 pm #2106865rightwriterParticipantI went ahead and got 2 Teslas, that way I can save double on gas.
July 18, 2022 1:29 pm at 1:29 pm #2106854BalabusParticipant@chaylev-halya
It’s a 48 month term with $5k down
And around 1k/monthJuly 18, 2022 1:29 pm at 1:29 pm #2106856yaakov doeParticipantAre you plugging it into a neighbors outlet to get free electricity?
July 18, 2022 1:47 pm at 1:47 pm #2106889commonsaychelParticipant@Balabus don’t you need to be over 18 and working for a least two years to get a lease?
July 18, 2022 1:47 pm at 1:47 pm #2106890BalabusParticipant@yakov doe I had tesla come and install a charger
In my house. Even if I wanted,I couldn’t use my neighbours electricity because they are about 200 feet away from my garage
But it sounds like you have a very unique way of thinking
I will definitely reach out to you next time for ideas 🙂July 18, 2022 1:47 pm at 1:47 pm #2106891BalabusParticipantAnd to everyone saying that mathematically
It’s not worth it in the long run, it’s not just about the money. It’s about saving the environment.
We are actively destroying the planet with all the emissions
Global warming is a serious issue & it’s unfortunate
That the majority of people don’t take it seriously.
The yetzer horah makes us not worry about what’s ahead
Everyone should buy an electric vehicleJuly 18, 2022 2:08 pm at 2:08 pm #2106896BalabusParticipant@commonsaychel
I’m not sure
You can reach out to tesla and ask them…
I’m assuming you’re asking because you are looking
To get one and you’re under 18…
You can have a freind sign for you im pretty sureJuly 18, 2022 2:23 pm at 2:23 pm #2106906Menachem ShmeiParticipant@Balabus, PragerU and other platforms have scientists who explain that much of this Global Warming idea is garbage. They also prove that electric cars end up giving just as much carbon emissions as gas cars (google: pragerU are electric cars really green).
They may be wrong. It might just be promoting conservative propaganda. But who is to say that the Global Warming scientists are not just promoting liberal propaganda?
Is there a way to find a real unbiased approach?
July 18, 2022 2:24 pm at 2:24 pm #2106912pekakParticipantDo you have a windmill and solar power on your roof, or is your home electricity powered by fossil fuels like everybody else’s?
July 18, 2022 3:20 pm at 3:20 pm #2106930Reb EliezerParticipantWe are protected from the suns radiation by the ozone layer which we destroy through fossil fuel emissions.
July 18, 2022 7:31 pm at 7:31 pm #2106970RockyParticipantIf anyone thought that the OP was serious, I think his line about the environment clinched his trollness.
July 18, 2022 7:31 pm at 7:31 pm #2106973GadolhadorahParticipant“Do you have a windmill and solar power on your roof, or is your home electricity powered by fossil fuels like everybody else’s? ”
Your perception of electricity supply sources is about 10 years out of date. In 2021, Texas — the nation’s leader in renewable energy — generated most of its renewable electricity from wind turbines. On some days, that was well over 90 percent of total power consumption. Nos. 2 and 4 on the top 10 list Washington and Oregon take advantage of huge hydro power sources to obtain the large percentage of their electricity. California, which No.3 in total renewable production, uses a mix of solar, wind and imported hydropower over the NorthWest intertie. Several other western states get more than half their electricity from renewables. The DOE/EIA website provides state by state listings of each state’s percentage of green electricity.
July 18, 2022 7:31 pm at 7:31 pm #2106993GISH MAKParticipanttag said they cant filter the internet so it has full internet so a jew should not get it
July 18, 2022 8:35 pm at 8:35 pm #2107006justlookinginParticipantMr. Eliezer:
Unlike CFCs and HFCs, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases do not deplete the ozone layer.
You are confusing your propaganda factsJuly 18, 2022 8:35 pm at 8:35 pm #2107015commonsaychelParticipant@OP I change cars as often as you change user names
July 19, 2022 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm #2107263DontMindMeParticipantFunny, the first time you posted this it was under the justlookingin username. One per customer.
The mods
July 19, 2022 7:04 pm at 7:04 pm #2107395DontMindMeParticipantI couldn’t figure out why in the world you block most of my comments, so I figured it was my username you didn’t like.
Major kudos for knowing how to track ip addresses….when the same deletable post shows up under 2 different names there is no need to track ip addresses.
July 20, 2022 12:43 am at 12:43 am #2107463DontMindMeParticipantOf course. And the comment is deletable why again? Was I not being polite?
July 20, 2022 12:43 am at 12:43 am #2107464DontMindMeParticipantPlease enlighten me so I can try to stick to the rules.
July 20, 2022 9:07 am at 9:07 am #2107527tunaisafishParticipantAnd Mod-29 what’s wrong with having more then 1 user name? i have at least 3…
July 20, 2022 10:26 am at 10:26 am #2107537DontMindMeParticipantOk let me try again, maybe it was the title, which I don’t get, but ok
GH:
Disingenuous as usual. NY and NJ, which is where most of the frum population lives, have renewables of under 30% and 10%, respectively.
How’s that? Or were my previous posts deleted because I’m not pushing climate change disinformation?Calling people obnoxious names (what you call a title?) is something most people recognize as inappropriate. Why you are finding it to be such a mystery is beyond me.
July 20, 2022 4:22 pm at 4:22 pm #2107619Amil ZolaParticipantGodolhadorah, Hydro power is ultimately cheaper here in the PNW. That being said there are fees for protecting salmon in everyones power bill, that’s what makes some of our power spendy. We also have large wind farms in the gorge and some potential good news about wave generated power in our not so distant future. Our state govt. was very positive when it came to things like window upgrades and home solar.
