February 10, 2013 2:17 am at 2:17 am #1133238popa_bar_abbaParticipantBy me there was so much snow. so much snow.
I spent 2 hours digging out my car, and then it was the wrong car.
February 10, 2013 2:17 am at 2:17 am #1133239WIYMemberIs this thread only for purplicious/thepurpleone?

February 10, 2013 2:58 am at 2:58 am #1133244Torah613TorahParticipantLots of snow. The wind did blow. To shovel I did not go. Snow, snow, snow.
February 10, 2013 3:13 am at 3:13 am #1133245YW fanParticipantto poster #1, actually their were 3 feet in boston!!!
February 10, 2013 3:25 am at 3:25 am #1133246YW Moderator-42ModeratorI went munching in my mukluks.
2 feet, 3 feet, 4 feet, can’t tell the difference after the wind pushed it all around. Some of the drifts were over 4 feet!
Either way, I only have 2 feet, but my mukluks kept them dry and the cholent kept me warm.
February 10, 2013 3:27 am at 3:27 am #1133247popa_bar_abbaParticipantIt snowed tzvei feiselach
February 10, 2013 3:33 am at 3:33 am #1133248OneOfManyParticipantHow about “marauding in my mukluks.” Sounds more epic. ^_^
February 10, 2013 3:45 am at 3:45 am #1133249YW Moderator-42ModeratorWe had a big kiddush so munching is more apropos
February 10, 2013 3:48 am at 3:48 am #1133250YW Moderator-42ModeratorWe had kugel, cholent, kishka, cookies, cakes, herring, shnitzel, deli, peas, carrots, ketchup, and for some strange reason – peppermint humbugs.
February 10, 2013 3:54 am at 3:54 am #1133251Yserbius123ParticipantWhat snew? I didn’t see no snew. Don’t live in New Yawk or Joisey or Bahstan.

It was GORGEOUS until everyone started stepping on it….did not take so long to dig out cars bec our streets were plowed already
February 10, 2013 4:06 am at 4:06 am #1133253OneOfManyParticipantWell, if there were peppermint humbugs then marauding might be more apropos. ^_^
February 10, 2013 4:09 am at 4:09 am #1133254Torah613TorahParticipantYW 42 – there was a sale on them at the Kollel Store. That’s why.

March 19, 2013 3:29 pm at 3:29 pm #1133260YW Moderator-42ModeratorSnew in Nissan! What is this world coming to? It’s probably Bloomberg’s fault.
March 19, 2013 4:04 pm at 4:04 pm #1133261walton157Member@YW Moderator-42: Not so unusual to have snew in Nissan. Does anyone remember that huge snewstorm in the early 80s that took place about 4 days before Passover?
I came home from college not knowing there would be such a storm with spring clothing and no winter boots. Needles to say I was snuggled in the house for 4 days straight.
March 19, 2013 9:26 pm at 9:26 pm #1133263playtimeMemberIt snowed two feet by me, and I got stuck in it
So then there were four feet

December 18, 2013 2:55 pm at 2:55 pm #1133274streekgeekParticipantI was debating whether to post this cuz I don’t want people to find out who I am. But with all the snow these days and the amount of car accidents I think I’m okay. Just want to publicize and open miracle that happened to me last week. So I was driving in the snow (of course…) and my car went in to a skid. I completely lost control of the car and landed up on the sidewalk, barely missing two people, a stop sign, a tree, and a house. And I was driving in a residential area with no curbs, and this particular corner just recently had a curb added to it, which slowed down my car a lot. To make a long story short, the amount of hashgacha and yad Hashem that I saw in those few seconds were downright humbling. My car was severely damaged (read totaled – we junked it) and I walked away without a scratch. Beat that!
December 18, 2013 3:31 pm at 3:31 pm #1133275tzaddiqMemberthanks streetgeek for being mefarseim the neis.

The trick is to clean off the licence plate first.
