Exactly! So google chat, watsapp, Facebook it all tells u if the person is online or offline. But yes I hate when it shows that there online already and didn’t answer you back its rude!
Why exactly is it rude? No one is entitled to answer you as soon as they go online. How about your friend’s got his/her business to take care of first or didn’t have the patience at that moment to answer “lol”, “Hiya m crazy busy at the moment” or wateve….
oneoutofthree: I actually share an email account, and that has happened to me- my friends have chatted/emailed me when I wasn’t home but my sister was using the email account and then gotten insulted when I didn’t immediately reply.
Actually, it’s also a good excuse for when I’m on but I don’t want to answer- though I don’t give excuses. If I don’t want to answer why should I?
Ye no one should take it as a personal offense if they’re not answered right away, there can be a gazillion reasons to take offense and then again not to.
Which mitzvah is it in the Torah that says I must respond to every text ASAP usually within minutes of receiving it? Why are people so sensitive these days and assume the worst if you don’t answer immediately?
