I hope my children have over a hundred children.
How many grandchildren do you hope to have?
February 18, 2011 3:11 pm at 3:11 pm #741914smartcookieMemberAs many as Hashem will give me. I hope they’ll all be healthy and Ehrliche Yidden.
February 18, 2011 3:24 pm at 3:24 pm #741915aries2756ParticipantSmartcookie, I’m with you, I’ll take whatever I can get! I have B”H eineklech from my own biological kids and then some from my extended family of the at-risk kids that b”h made it through their teenage years. So Hashem has blessed me with many and the numbers keep growing.

February 18, 2011 3:34 pm at 3:34 pm #741917YW Moderator-80Memberwas there anything in particular you were interested in or expecting when you asked this question?
February 18, 2011 3:38 pm at 3:38 pm #741918canineMemberNot specifically. Perhaps how much various people value bonim u’bonos. I think how many they *hope* for may be one fair indicator, even if inconclusive.
February 18, 2011 3:52 pm at 3:52 pm #741919YW Moderator-80Memberi see but who would want to limit such a wonderful Brocha by giving a number?
i guess id say a googol.
i would say a googolplex but then remembering birthdays could become a problem.
February 18, 2011 3:55 pm at 3:55 pm #741920canineMemberOver 100 is limitless!
February 18, 2011 3:59 pm at 3:59 pm #741921YW Moderator-80Memberi should say then *at least* a googol
February 18, 2011 4:03 pm at 4:03 pm #741922oomisParticipantI would love dozens and dozens. B”EH, I should have many many pieces of Chanukah gelt to give out. Right now I only have three aineklach, kinehora.
February 18, 2011 4:46 pm at 4:46 pm #741923Feif UnParticipantI don’t have any yet, but I do have two children of my own. Right now I’m not wishing for 100 grandchildren – 50 kids for each of my two would be a bit rough on them!
My grandmother survived Auschwitz, and lost her parents and six siblings there. B”H, she has 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren (I don’t even know the exact number, but I believe it’s close to 30 now, with hopefully more to come!) She is hopefully going to see her first great-great-grandchild in the near future as well.

You think Hashem will give you more than you can handle without your intervention?

I’m not debating the point. I meant what I said, nothing more, nothing less.

February 18, 2011 5:18 pm at 5:18 pm #741927mytakeMemberCome one, Canine, how childish can you get? It’s silly to give numbers.
As many as Hashem is kind enough to give, and that we’re able to handle!
February 18, 2011 6:14 pm at 6:14 pm #741928deiyezoogerMemberit’s a silly question, because we only get what we could handle so we as people would not want to add or subtract the amount that is meant for us to have so nobody wants to at least say a number at random, but one thing i could add is as many as we have they should be heathly and averadge, and most important of all they should follow in our footsteps of our fathers.yiddeshkeit.
