Hashem never sends us “dreary days” – all days are for the best!
I honestly like cloudy and windy weather, maybe with a light drizzle. Not too much rain though.
I don’t -it makes me sleepy. On a day off -like Shabbos or Yom tov or when sick in bed ch’vs, it’s great because it helps you sleep.
I guess you guys are on a great madreiga. I for one, was busy yawning and trying hard to keep my eyes open. And the freezing rain is adding insult to injury.
Wake up people! Rainy days are the best!!! I waited the whole hot, humid, sunny summer for this kind of cold, rainy, snowy weather!!!

Zees et al, you should all make aliyah to the Pacific Northwest. I think you would quickly tire of dreary days. I grew up in Vancouver and didn’t anything different than a lot of dreary and rainy days (but at least you don’t have to shovel rain). As much as I love Vancouver, I don’t know if I could live there now. I know that I couldn’t afford to live there now, but finances aside, I think that all the rain would depress me. Where I live it is usually sunny, even when it is bitterly cold. You need sunglasses for driving year round, particularly in the winter when the glare from the sun on the snow can be blinding.
Rain isn’t so bad. Rain with cold isn’t fun 🙁
cinderella: I agree. Cold and rainy is infinitely better than hot and humid – throw on a jacket and boots, and you’re good to go!
keeskite, want to hear something? YEars ago when life wasn’t so good for me, and I was more or less down in the dumps, I use to crave rainy days. I actually use to dislike it when the dreary day would turn clear and sunny because as I use to put it “…awww now I gotta cheer up”.
I also felt that dreary days brought out the best in me. Creatively or whatever. BUt now not anymore.
