DaasYochid –
You say I can’t accept a differing opinion about how he has had an effect on our democracy and that is therefore close-minded.
Nevermind you are putting forth a strawman argument in that no one here, definitely not you, has offered a differing opinion about how he has had an effect on our democracy. How can I be closed-minded with regard to opinions that are never expressed?
On top of that you change my words from refusing to recognize that his flaws make him unfit to be president to a claim I never made. Namely, you claim I said that pro-Trump think whatever he does is automatically true… No idea what that even means.
Call me closed-minded or whatever, but you and no one has offered arguments to counter that make any sense. It is like the 30+ lawsuits filed that you just throw every thought out there and see if something sticks or someone just gets tired or refuting one nonsense point after another.
Yes, you are acting like Cultists. Your are desperately trying to uphold some vision of Trump and you ignore the flaws and problems with him. If you google “Cult” the third definition that pops up is, “a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing.”
I think by now all the Trump cultists have weighed in and they have presented nothing worthy of consideration. Feel free to go and spout more nonsense and righteous indignation (read the ravings of TRUMP2024 as an example). Can’t say I have enjoyed this conversation.

“You say I can’t accept a differing opinion”
YOU CAN’T! And you have shown that throughout this conversation.“you ignore the flaws and problems with him.”
I have literally said at least 5 times “WE ACCEPT THAT HE HAS FLAWS!” At this point there is no reason to continue the conversation with you. You are pretending we’ve said and done things we haven’t. YOU are the one who hasn’t admitted Joe Biden and Barack Obama are flawed. None of us are cultists (including you) and you need to stop saying that. (ona’as d’varim/sheker) And by the way you haven’t answered my legitimate arguments. Instead you pick on words and choose not to answer things. Adios Buddy! It was very enlightening talking to you.December 6, 2020 11:55 pm at 11:55 pm #1926460β DaasYochid βParticipantNevermind you are putting forth a strawman argument in that no one here, definitely not you, has offered a differing opinion about how he has had an effect on our democracy.
How is that a straw man argument?

You did say that. Unless someone else logged into your account.

Sheker again. We don’t all ignore his flaws or excessively admire him, we just think he’s a very good president.
Yes, that is a very serious problem, that some in our community do excessively admire him, but don’t lump us all together. I’m personally disgusted by the whole maga hat and bumper sticker thing in our community.

“if you are still pro-Trump you either donβt care about American Democracy or you are in the cult and believe whatever he does is automatically the best”
You clearly said that if you are pro Trump, you are either anti Democracy, or are a cultist who thinks he’s always right.
