How do you run your home/raise your children

So, this topic (https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/spanking-kids) got me wondering about something in general.

How do you and your spouse run your household/family? Is it mostly like your/their parents did? Did you not like the way your parents did, so you changed some things? Did you decide to run certain things differently based on a rebbi’s input or something like that? I’m talking about the general stuff (home atmosphere, chinuch, relationships, etc.)

My gut feeling is that people in their 20s, 30s and even 40s today have veered off from how their parents did things more than their parents had veered off from THEIR parents’ ways.

Just curious. Sort of an unscientific poll.
