    Shulem aleichem everyone. I’m a chossid from out of town and I need help moving in town. Are there any gemachim that can help me find affordable housing in say Boro Park or Williamsburg? And I’m a bucher, so really I don’t need a lot of room if that might be an issue in housing help.

    Housing is very expensive in NY , I am not sure there is enough money in the entire jewish community to provide housing for all who really need it.

    My advice is , if you cant afford NYC stay away and I dont mean it cruely,

    Okay. I don’t mean to help me pay for housing, I mean to help me find an apartment or something in Boro Park or Williamsburg. Monsey is also an option. Basements are fine as well.

    Basements are illegal in NYC of course lots of people rent them. Check the local Pizza shops and flyers around and you should be able to find them.

    You mentioned you are a chossid. Perhaps visit the shtebel of your chassidic rebbe and the people there can make some recommendations how to get basements Alot also goes by word of mouth
