This is in response to the [closed] thread on the posuk of V’Nishmartem being used as a source for not engaging in life-threatening behavior. The actual posuk quoted by the Rambam in Mishna Torah for this idea is “HiShomer L’cha U’shmor Nafshecha.” The Rambam writes:
????? ???? ??????? ???????? ???? ???????? ????????? ??????? ?????? ?????????? ????????????? ????????? ???????????? ????????? ????? ?????. ??????????? (????? ?-?) “????????? ???? ???????? ?????????”. (Hilchos Rotzeach 11:4)
The person was quoting the “Levush” who states it is from “Venishmartem”.
The ???? says it’s from both. Here’s the link again.
