    I have a PDF with text in Hebrew. I believe I need OCR software in order to do this. Has anyone done this and which software did you use? I tried all kinds of ways with just Microsoft Word however I believe that an OCR software is required to complete what I’m doing -ie. copying parts of a book.

    Actually Davkawriter is in reverse to PDF. I think you need from Adobe software.

    If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can
    1) Open the pdf;
    2) Click on the Scan & OCR tool;
    3) Click on Recognize Text;
    4) Choose “Hebrew”
    5) And then click on the Recognize Text button.

    Adobe Acrobat Pro will convert the words to digital format. If it’s a scan from a book, you will probably have to go through it and do a lot of corrections.
    This may not be the best option, but it works to some degree.

    My DavkaWriter Platinum 6 cannot do this. I think Adobe is the way to go.

    1. take a screenshot using the windows snipping tool
    2. save the screenshot
    3. go here: imagetotext.info this site converts images to text. 95% accurate even with hebrew.
    4. follow the simple instructions on the site. it should give you the text you want, then just copy and paste
