Do we strenghten anti semtiism by acknowledging every incident that maybe wouldnt have been such a big deal if not blown out of proportion? Of vourse it cant be ignored, but does making it headlines each day actually motivate people to commit more hate? Also does it make us weaker by letting every little slur get to us and making a whole shturem about it while seeking sympathy from the nations (in vein) instead of just ignoring it as to show it does not affect us? The first rule when someone bothers you is to ignore and not give them attention and usually they will stop. Giving them the attention that they seek only makes it worse. Of course if things do not stop then you address them appropriately.
But maybe our attitude should be to not lt everything get to us, ignore as much as possible, and understand there is double standard when it comes to hating Jews and that the nations are not our friends and will not give us the sympathy we seek form them so maybe we shouldnt seek it in the first place?

Also these cancel cultures such as ADL and others are causing us more harm than good by being ultra sensitive to every fool who says or does something even remotely anti Jewish. We dont need to seem like a whining people it only makes us seem weaker, and be weaker.

Left wing Jews seem only to remember being Jewish when they perceive a grievance.

If the media stopped broadcasting every slight they would have a lot more spare time on their hands.

“>>>causing us more harm than good by being ultra sensitive to every fool who says or does something even remotely anti Jewish”

When these “fools” have a megaphone amplified by 32 million social media followers and are explicitly giving kovod to the murderer of 6 million yiddeshe neshomos, perhaps those who speak out are not being “ultra sensitive”.

Gadol, a lot of times they try to get a reaction which they know they will get out of us. Besides the nations do not sympathize with the Jews they sympathize, or at the very least are neutral with the enemies of the Jewish people

Convince yourself first. There is always time to not examine the issue later.

I don’t know that we can control this. We never did control our destiny. There’s a down side to both, ignoring and complaining.

We should be concerned with anti-Semitic attacks but running to the ADL and embracing the cancel culture makes it worse. The left wing Jewish organizations only claim anti-semitism when someone attacks Soros and if it’s someone who was remotely affiliated with a republican or Trump but they don’t claim anti-semitism when it comes from a fellow democrat like Ilhan Omar Tlaib AOC a fanatical muslim the government of Iran or other anti-Israel organization.

I totally agree. I was impressed when a swastika was found here that the Jews interviewed all play it down. One said, “I wasn’t scared or anything there’s obviously something wrong in this person’s heart & what can I do to help them.” That’s a great way to handle it.
At the same time when I tell people the same thing you say I’m called an “Antisemite” or a a “Self-hating” Jew.

I just checked out the ADL website. They have a bunch of statements against Tlaib and Co. Somehow you missed all of them. Or perhaps you forgot. In that case we should be most concerned about memory-biases.

    Dear Kuvult,

That is a fine approach for people like me or you. But the OP is asking about an organization that is dedicated to this topic. It’s not really the same thing.
I’m re-reading your last sentence and not understanding it.

nomesorah, Actually i was talking of the common Jew to have this attitude of not shrinking away when seeing a swastika, which is an instinct that rightfully so happens to us, but we can change it. As far as ADL and all, they are hypocrites and only lash out when convenient to them and usually for crying wolf type of events. It makes us look weak. As far as the NBA player who shared the video, ya it was wrong and he tried being tough standing up to everyone, but really the video was unwatchable by many and making it a bigger deal made sure that now everyone was going to watch it. Also if its sold on Amzaon then they are the ones who should have been attacked and they refused to remove it anyway. Penalizing the player and making him pay a fee makes us look whiny, weak and playing in to the same anti Jewish tropes that these low lives spew to begin with.
