Where can I find good universally frum halacha online?
Also… is there a place where I can find halacha in Spanish too?
B’esrat Hashem, I need several pieces of halacha for a project (not sure about what subject just yet) to give to someone. It needs to be acceptable to someone who is charedi and chassidic.
Where do I go? English and Spanish please…
Thank you so much for your help in advance!
December 4, 2016 6:16 am at 6:16 am #1196899tzniusMemberchabad.org or asih.com would be a good place to look.
December 4, 2016 2:56 pm at 2:56 pm #1196901Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantLB- does it have to be online? That’s probably not the best place to look.
If you want something that is universally Frum, not everyone accepts Chabad.
To answer your question, I don’t know of anything off-hand, but if I come up with something, I will let you know, bli neder.

December 4, 2016 5:36 pm at 5:36 pm #1196903It is Time for TruthParticipantWhere can I find good universally frum halacha online?
A contradiction.
halacha
(unless its the 3 chamuros)
ought to weigh many factors
How could it be universally and online ?
December 4, 2016 6:59 pm at 6:59 pm #1196904Lilmod UlelamaidParticipant1. Rabbi Leff’s website. He is acceptable and he has a lot on halacha.
2. Kol Haloshon’s website (or phone number).
3. A website called Torah Downloads.
4. a website called Easy to Remember. I never looked at it, but I was told about it from a reliable source. I do not know what topics they have, but I assume they must have some halacha.
December 4, 2016 11:14 pm at 11:14 pm #1196905Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantSorry – I made a mistake on #4 – it’s called “simple to remember”
Plus two more:
5. Torah Anytime
6. Naaleh
December 4, 2016 11:15 pm at 11:15 pm #1196906Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantThe danger with googling is that you won’t know if it’s a kosher and acceptable website.
December 5, 2016 12:39 am at 12:39 am #1196907LightbriteParticipantThank you. I know ~ True dat!
It needs to be written so I can copy it please.
I wanted something from a cool book or an interesting source, where the person reading the halacha (and/or Dvar Torah) will be like, “Whoa, I wouldn’t have been able to find this on my own.”
Thank you thank you for so many sources. Awesome now I have a better idea of where I’m allowed to explored. Yays 🙂
December 6, 2016 2:56 am at 2:56 am #1196908LightbriteParticipantAre Ohr Somayach and OU generally acceptable by super observant Breslevers?
December 6, 2016 3:25 am at 3:25 am #1196909Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantI am not sure, but I would think Ohr Someiach would be fine. I could see OU being a problem.
December 6, 2016 4:41 am at 4:41 am #1196910LightbriteParticipantReally omgosh! Okay thanks. I may have cited OU last time. Good to know!
Since I already confessed and said that it may be for someone into Breslev, I might as well ask please: do you think it’ll be an issue if I used material from Chabad for a Breslever?
December 6, 2016 4:05 pm at 4:05 pm #1196911It is Time for TruthParticipantlightbrite,
For
hashkafa
Or
Halacha
??
Of Course there ought to be
and there is overlap
Somethings are assur , some mutar ,some bide’avad.
Some would be
kosher aval assur
December 6, 2016 10:57 pm at 10:57 pm #1196912Neville ChaimBerlinParticipantYou could look at breslevcenter’s blogspot; they have a lot of Breslever minhagim there.
A lot of the Breslev velt holds by the Magein Avraham times, and the Rebbe advocated learning Halachah from the Chayei Adam. Otherwise, most general halachahs are going to be the same.
December 6, 2016 11:22 pm at 11:22 pm #1196913Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantLB – if you are asking me, I would recommend staying away from Chabad sources. I believe they have their own halachos and hashkafos. I wonder if there is a Breslov website you can use?
December 7, 2016 12:55 am at 12:55 am #1196914Neville ChaimBerlinParticipantChabad is a great resource to many, but lilmod is right that a lot of their standings are not mainstream. Breslevers are extremely strict regarding Zman hatefillah, while Chabadniks essentially ignore those hilchos altogether. I don’t say that as an insult, that’s just something you should be aware of.
You’ll have trouble finding a mainstream Breslev presence on the internet. You’ll get a lot of “Neo-Chassidishe” kind of Breslev on the internet and some of the Breslev velt that’s a little more chummy with Zionism. The “super observant Breslevers” (as the OP put it) are not going to have a big presence on the English internet, or the internet at all for that matter. But, you can make do; I wish you the best of luck.
December 7, 2016 2:45 am at 2:45 am #1196915LightbriteParticipantThanks everyone! Okay so I decided to play it safe and am using one book with emuna that it’s fitting please G-d and for the sake of ayin hara protection, I’m keeping mum.
Gosh!!! I know that everything happens for a reason, but I am so glad that I now know about the CR because last time I used Chabad stuff and with what you’re telling me… I see that I had way more options than I thought at the time.
Great to know!!!
Is Neville ChaimBerlin really Blocked?
December 7, 2016 3:38 pm at 3:38 pm #1196916Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantI don’t think he’d be able to post if he were blocked. I was wondering about the subtitle – maybe it’s a joke?
