June 15, 2017 3:30 pm at 3:30 pm #1297485MenoParticipantTry frying a latke in it. That should soak up the excess oil.
June 15, 2017 3:30 pm at 3:30 pm #1297487👑RebYidd23ParticipantDry shampoo every hour, wet shampoo twice a day. Condition before shampooing.

Don’t be such a hothead.
June 15, 2017 9:10 pm at 9:10 pm #1297949LightbriteParticipantShampoo, lather, rinse, and repeat!
Make sure you do it twice!
Always remember the repeat. The first shampoo and rinse doesn’t rid the hair of all of the dirt and oils that you’d like to wash off. It breaks it up somewhat, but the second lather and rinse is what cleanses the hair, as I learned in cosmetology school back in the day.
Also, see what type of conditioner you’re using. Too much drying may make your scalp produce more oils to compensate. Too much oils in the conditioner will make your head fitting for Channukah.
My hair is straight and thin, and only takes a day or less to reach latke levels – so yea, all is good 🙂
June 15, 2017 9:49 pm at 9:49 pm #1297959👑RebYidd23ParticipantThe problem with shampoo, lather, rinse and repeat is that it is a never ending cycle.
June 15, 2017 10:42 pm at 10:42 pm #1297958LightbriteParticipantSorry if I came across as unhelpful/invalidating… You probably/maybe already shampoo twice.
Btw::: THANK YOU Tobs!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I just shampooed my latke hair! It was such hashgacha pratis because I didn’t wash my hair earlier today, and was so close to saying “Oh well” and going to sleep with yucky hair (which is such an unpleasant sleep).
So thank you because I went and washed it and now feel much cleaner and calmer 🙂 !!!
Sending you blessings for awesome hair always!
June 15, 2017 10:42 pm at 10:42 pm #1297966LightbriteParticipantThat’s exactly why people sing “This is the song that never ends” in the shower.
June 16, 2017 12:03 am at 12:03 am #1297980tobsParticipantThank you everybody for the suggestions
Lightbrite: i’m glad that this helped you out!
i will definitely try these suggestions besides for frying latkes (sorry meno) and let you all know the results
also, i once heard that baby powder is great for taking out excess oil. the thing is is that it makes my hair white, which is worse because it’s white and oily. does anyone know how to do that without turning white or is it just a made up myth?June 16, 2017 5:13 am at 5:13 am #1298009☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantI’d be surprised if anyone has a way to put white
powder in your hair without turning it white.(Thumbs up for computer humor, RebYidd.)

Sounds like some type of sinister plan to take over the world

Especially if you do it twice.
