let me clarify that this Europe trip takes place in the summer
It’s far from depressing moish. It’s emotional and life changing. The irony is that this of all things lends chizuk and strengthens emuna. It gives you the right perspective and priorities. It also matures those that aren’t (not you per se)

anyway, day 1 update: I found it ridiculously easy, the first essay was writing the pros of dog therapy on the elderly. (there werent any cons) and the second one was why its better to use a bike over a car. simple as that! 🙂 tomorrows the biggie…

It was weird, but they listed a whole bunch of benefits, provides company, love, mental stimulation (I found that very farfetched) that dogs can do for older people and it was fine. It wasnt the longest essay I’ve ever written, but it wasnt too bad.

kapusta- oh, good! The best part of part one is that they spoon feed all the info. You just gotta put it into some kind of essay.
This fear (of the unknown?) is stopping you from moving forward- in any area. You want to do a lot of things, you’ve said so yourself, yet each time you think too much about it you start to hold back and then let it slide for lack of… ‘courage’ I don’t think is the right word…
I understand these feelings; almost every teen has these insecurities.
What will convince you moish? To stick to working on a midda, to go back to yeshiva, to go on an inspirational trip, to let go of some pride and talk to your parents and show them you really want this change but don’t know how to go about it… (a ramble, read again)

well, I hate to break up a good fight, but I actually did take the regen__ today. I would agree with me pal mepal but honestly, I think both of them are used. I’m not sure which one is correct.
moish, maybe it says it in plural there since there are like 6 regents in the book ;). Not sure…
check the title of one of the regents. i just looked on regentsprep.com it says

just two quick examples from wikipedia – check out the grammar
If a student’s cell phone or any other electronically devices may make noises the student’s test will become void, and he/she must retake that regents at a later time.
The English Regents requires four essays, each structured differently.

kapusta: i would have actually done it (wow! that much show how much i miss it!) but there are two problems 1) i wouldn’t be allowed in a girls school (sorry don’t know how to mask a beard no matter how small) 2) english, although i may have done well on my regent (yes i was in new york for high school) it still is not the subject i am best at (but in all seriousness there are regents in august? mine were june-ish)
RegentS make ups are in August and January.

Unless she told you that you may use books from the ‘scripture’ before the regentS.
mepal: in my days oh, say about a year ago it was spelled regent for singular and regentS for plural and i refuse to change in that matter (thereby backing out of machloikes (yeah right :))
in regards to my most recent post on this topic THIS DOES NOT MEAN I LIKE(D) SCHOOL I AM JUST BEING NOSTALGIC (not to say i was totally repulsed by it.-i think i can start a thread on this topic)
