“invalid” is such an old-man word.
i’m not. but yes, i do spend a lot of time in my room. it’s complicated.
April 6, 2009 11:11 pm at 11:11 pm #677907moish01Memberha i’m really not. i was just trying to convince myself. happens to be i am very nice to them. so maybe??
April 6, 2009 11:14 pm at 11:14 pm #677908an open bookParticipantat least your room isn’t also their room, & you have a lock. i’m not so lucky.
April 6, 2009 11:14 pm at 11:14 pm #677909moish01Memberwow i just sent an email and i accidentally used HTML markup to italicize instead of doing it the regular way. this is bad.
April 6, 2009 11:37 pm at 11:37 pm #677910moish01Membergod, i wouldn’t last one night if i had someone else living in my room. (or should i say “i wouldn’t last one morning?”)
April 6, 2009 11:38 pm at 11:38 pm #677911anonymisssParticipantyes, moish. It is bad, super bad.

April 6, 2009 11:47 pm at 11:47 pm #677912an open bookParticipantyeah, it’s not fun. & it’s not someone else by the way. multiply that by 3! & there’s an empty room sitting around downstairs too 🙁
April 7, 2009 12:45 am at 12:45 am #677913kapustaParticipantAOB, I don’t know how you handle it, I don’t think I would…
moish, it hasn’t quite happened that way to me, but sometimes right before I send an email I stop and think If my signature is supposed to be on it.
April 7, 2009 1:17 am at 1:17 am #677916anonymisssParticipantAOB, that’s really tough. I used to share a room with my sister until she got married and I really didn’t appreciate it. Good luck to you!

April 7, 2009 2:39 am at 2:39 am #677917moish01Memberfour people in one room? wow. why don’t you move into that empty room?
April 7, 2009 2:52 am at 2:52 am #677918JaxMemberaussie: i like this font the best though! it’s a fun one!
moish: wow sounds rough, in the next day or so my married siblings will come with all their kids, so it will be like that by me too!
April 7, 2009 3:05 am at 3:05 am #677919moish01Membersounds like that’s going to be more kids than we have around here.
April 7, 2009 3:07 am at 3:07 am #677920JaxMembermoish: yeah i guess so, i don’t even bother counting how many there are anymore! the noise says enough!
April 7, 2009 3:07 am at 3:07 am #677921hi100Memberpesach gets really busy(and messy) in my house too, but it’s kinda fun
April 7, 2009 3:11 am at 3:11 am #677922moish01Memberjust ate fleishigs and a friend just said they’re all going for ice cream and he wants to pick me up… sounds so stupid but this is a real test.
April 7, 2009 3:15 am at 3:15 am #677923an open bookParticipantmoish: yeah, i’m working on it. until recently, it was full of (not my) junk that i wasn’t allowed to get rid of(!), now it’s an unfinished room. & i have to get furniture in there, at least a bed to start.
jax: from what i hear, nieces & nephews are different than siblings, though.
April 7, 2009 3:18 am at 3:18 am #677924anonymisssParticipantor here. poor you. good luck
~a~
April 7, 2009 3:26 am at 3:26 am #677925aussieboyParticipantmoish: Think of it this way. Tests dont get easier they only get harder. If its hard for you it means you have passed all the previous tests.
April 7, 2009 3:30 am at 3:30 am #677926an open bookParticipantmoish: this completely depends on your situation, i don’t know how much you like ice cream or where they’re going, but maybe there’s something pareve that you like? like a smoothie? ok if this doesn’t apply, never mind, just a suggestion.
April 7, 2009 3:31 am at 3:31 am #677927moish01Memberi wouldn’t say that. i’ve had my fair share of failing. but i dunno i just needa keep telling myself it’s not kosher.
and it’s still hard. (i feel like the biggest idiot because a few weeks ago my sister was singing some song about not eating milk and meat together- even she knows it)
April 7, 2009 3:32 am at 3:32 am #677928JaxMembermoish: stay in the cr & that way you wouldn’t have the issue!
April 7, 2009 3:36 am at 3:36 am #677930JaxMemberan open book: the only difference is they go home after pesach & don’t stick around forever! but the nudging is the same! every second it’s uncle…drive us here or lets play basketball! they’re cute though……..
April 7, 2009 3:37 am at 3:37 am #677931moish01Memberyeh, AOB – i can’t imagine barging into my uncle’s room.
April 7, 2009 3:38 am at 3:38 am #677932hi100Membermoish:don’t do it-you’ll feel so good about yourself afterwards
April 7, 2009 3:44 am at 3:44 am #677934hi100Membernieces and nephews are the best, just when they start getting annoying-they go home. siblings on the other hand, you gotta live with 24/7!
April 7, 2009 3:46 am at 3:46 am #677935an open bookParticipantjax: yeah but do you mind taking em around & doing stuff with them? especially in the beginning?
April 7, 2009 3:47 am at 3:47 am #677936moish01Memberjax, coffee is also milchigs 😉
and do they call you “uncle jax” or “uncle asdfghjkl?”
…just wondering…
April 7, 2009 3:49 am at 3:49 am #677937an open bookParticipanthi100: yeah, i think that’s it. (though i only have the experience to back 1/2 of that up)
April 7, 2009 3:51 am at 3:51 am #677938moish01Memberby the time i have a niece or a nephew i probably will have moved out.
April 7, 2009 3:57 am at 3:57 am #677940JaxMembermoish: now don’t get too shocked…but i have a REAL name! good one with coffee being milchig! keep saying it’s not kosher!
an open book: i’m the best uncle ever! i take them lots of places!
April 7, 2009 3:59 am at 3:59 am #677941an open bookParticipantyeah me too (i really really hope so…)
April 7, 2009 4:11 am at 4:11 am #677945JaxMembermoish: that’s cause your the oldest, i’m one of the middle ones!
April 7, 2009 4:16 am at 4:16 am #677946an open bookParticipantjax: i can’t imagine you with one! (a real name, that is.) also kapusta (in my mind it’s a regular name almost). at least with moish i don’t have that problem 🙂
April 7, 2009 4:17 am at 4:17 am #677947moish01Memberjax, you have younger siblings? hard to imagine.
April 7, 2009 4:50 am at 4:50 am #677948anonymisssParticipantSo, moish, am I allowed to ask what happened with the ice cream? If you would rather not discuss it, please disregard this post.

April 7, 2009 4:55 am at 4:55 am #677949kapustaParticipantAOb, I can’t imagine Jax with younger siblings also, and queen kapusta is the youngest. But it’s funny you’re able to tell that.
April 7, 2009 4:55 am at 4:55 am #677950JaxMemberan open book: shocking i know! my parents were kind not to actually name me asdfghjkl!
moish: yeah i have younger siblings, but not little ones! why hard to imagine?
April 7, 2009 5:01 am at 5:01 am #677951anonymisssParticipantJax with younger siblings? Funny. I’m at the older end of my family and get the “best” of both worlds, younger siblings and nieces/nephews. Life is grand! lol
~a~
April 7, 2009 5:38 am at 5:38 am #677952moish01MemberAOB, you mean your name isn’t really an open book?? why would your parents name you something else?? that’s such a beautiful name… like “True Son,” “Half Arrow,” “Little Crane” and “An Open Book.”
how enlightening (i know stupid pun, but i had to try)
April 7, 2009 5:40 am at 5:40 am #677953moish01Memberi would rather not discuss it, but no i didn’t go. doesn’t help my mood much, but at least i’ll be able to sleep tonight.
April 7, 2009 5:46 am at 5:46 am #677954moish01Memberjax, i thought you were a youngest. seemed like the type.
and come to think of it, technically my sister could be married with a kid in 5 years. (weird!) so i would be almost 22. i guess i might just be broke enough to live at home…
April 7, 2009 5:48 am at 5:48 am #677955JaxMemberanonymisss, moish, & kapusta: why so shocking i have younger siblings?
April 7, 2009 6:40 am at 6:40 am #677956anonymisssParticipantYeah, jax, I also thought you and your twin were youngest, don’t know why.
moish, you know you did the right thing. Since you really don’t want to discuss it: END OF DISCUSSION!
~a~
April 7, 2009 7:16 am at 7:16 am #677957JaxMembermoish & anonymisss: oh ok, i was just wondering what you were thinking there!

kapusta: i was talking about real names, not younger siblings! to be honest i would’ve guessed oldest, no idea why.
moish: it’s sad but i completely missed the pun
April 7, 2009 3:47 pm at 3:47 pm #677961moish01Memberyou never read “Light in the Forest?” it’s about a boy who was raised as a Native American and finds out he’s really white and they send him back to live with the colonists. anyway, those are come of the Native American names in that book. except i added your to the list 😉
April 7, 2009 4:42 pm at 4:42 pm #677963an open bookParticipantoh yeah i did, last year. didn’t remember the names though.
