March 29, 2009 5:58 am at 5:58 am #677676kapustaParticipantwhich mod blacklisted me? 🙂 none of my posts are being posted! 🙂
Would be easier to ask which one didn’t 😉
March 29, 2009 8:18 am at 8:18 am #677678YW Moderator-39Member(this will be up for all you night owls to see)
MANY of your posts do not go through due to the following reasons.
1. Improper or no punctuation (Jax, if you want to use a !, use it once.)
2. Lack of spell-checking (teen er, Aussieboy, read your posts before submitting, its Moish not Mnoish)
3. Kapusta, please use capital letters when appropriate, use space when appropriate, and start new paragraphs when appropriate.
4. We do not appreciate people’s own character signs 🙂
This is a Coffee Room for all to Share, this is not meant to be a teen hangout, nor will we allow it to become one. Do not ask us why things were deleted.
I am telling you this so that you guys can continue to be wonderful contributers to our site. We ask that you follow these rules carefully
March 29, 2009 8:22 am at 8:22 am #677679aussieboyParticipantmod39: Sorry. I do try to use proper pronunciation as much as possible but letter sometimes get mixed in. Ill try harder though.
March 29, 2009 8:23 am at 8:23 am #677680YW Moderator-39MemberIt only takes 10 sec to read the post before clicking “send post”. Those 10 sec will save EVERYONE a lot of hassle
March 29, 2009 8:24 am at 8:24 am #677681anonymisssParticipantmod, I really try to use appropriate spelling, punctuation, etc. in my posts. Does this mean that I have to get rid of my signature (~a~)?
March 29, 2009 8:25 am at 8:25 am #677682JaxMembermod39: so i guess no signature for me anymore!(just 1)
March 29, 2009 8:25 am at 8:25 am #677683YW Moderator-39MemberYour use of a signature is fine. The smiles (especially multiple ones, and the $ at the end of posts really get to the mods
March 29, 2009 8:26 am at 8:26 am #677684kapustaParticipantmod, I apologize, if it really bothers you I guess I’ll have to stop. And when I’m on a role, who’s thinking about punctuation?!?! (man, this isn’t easy!)
March 29, 2009 8:32 am at 8:32 am #677685anonymisssParticipantThank you, Mr. Moderator. I’m so relieved that I haven’t been blacklisted.
~a~
March 29, 2009 8:34 am at 8:34 am #677686kapustaParticipantCan I ask why a signature is better?
Sounds like my smile is gone…anyone have anything to recommend?
March 29, 2009 8:37 am at 8:37 am #677687aussieboyParticipantkapusta: How about no signature?
March 29, 2009 8:38 am at 8:38 am #677688YW Moderator-39MemberMarch 29, 2009 8:40 am at 8:40 am #677689kapustaParticipantMarch 29, 2009 8:40 am at 8:40 am #677690anonymisssParticipantMr. Moderator, that’s really very kind of you to help kapusta come up with a new signature.

March 29, 2009 8:41 am at 8:41 am #677691YW Moderator-39MemberMs Queen, the natives are revolting. You probably should go incognito for a bit (hint, hint)
March 29, 2009 8:44 am at 8:44 am #677693YW Moderator-39MemberSince you are not to quick on the subtle. Stop with the queen title.
March 29, 2009 8:47 am at 8:47 am #677694kapustaParticipantSorry mod, I just saw that now
if you insist…
Mod, I would’ve dropped it at some point anyway, it was too long.
March 29, 2009 8:51 am at 8:51 am #677695JaxMemberkapusta: the blue hurts my eyes! can you keep it just black-it’ll be easier to do it anyways!
March 29, 2009 8:51 am at 8:51 am #677696anonymisssParticipantkapusta, let me teach you a little trick. It’s called copy and paste. This is how it goes. You select the text that you want to copy *kapusta*, then you press Ctrl+C. When you’re ready to paste the text in the second location, all you have to do is Ctrl+V. This way you don’t have to retype the whole thing.
~a~
March 29, 2009 8:55 am at 8:55 am #677697kapustaParticipantOk, as per your request Jax!
anonymisss, would the blue copy? not that it makes much of a difference anymore, but thanx for the heads up!
*kapusta*
So…?
March 29, 2009 8:57 am at 8:57 am #677698JaxMemberkapusta: passes inspection from me! very nice!
March 29, 2009 8:57 am at 8:57 am #677699aussieboyParticipantkapusta: The blue would copy but you need to copy it before you post it.
March 29, 2009 8:59 am at 8:59 am #677700anonymisssParticipantWhen you copy the whole thing with the < > then yes, it would copy.
~a~
March 29, 2009 9:04 am at 9:04 am #677701kapustaParticipantJax, thanx! (and sorry about your eyes)
anonymiss, isn’t it easier to just rewrite it?
*kapusta*
March 29, 2009 9:06 am at 9:06 am #677702kapustaParticipantgood night Jax!
*kapusta*
March 29, 2009 9:23 am at 9:23 am #677704kapustaParticipantMod, did you disappear? if not, then please warn us before you do.
*kapusta*
March 29, 2009 9:46 am at 9:46 am #677705aussieboyParticipantmod39: Your english right? What time is it there? Did you change the clocks ahead yet?
March 29, 2009 9:53 am at 9:53 am #677706YW Moderator-39Member5 hours ahead of NY (yes, we are on Daylight Savings Time as well)
March 29, 2009 9:55 am at 9:55 am #677707kapustaParticipantIn that case, can I ask where GMT comes in? Is that what it is when DST is not in place?
*kapusta*
March 29, 2009 10:01 am at 10:01 am #677708aussieboyParticipantWhat is GMT?
March 29, 2009 10:03 am at 10:03 am #677709YW Moderator-39MemberWe are currently GMT +1
It would be disasterous to change “GMT” as it would muck up all the equations i.e. NY being GMT -5 during the winter
March 29, 2009 10:07 am at 10:07 am #677710kapustaParticipantMod, I hope at least you understand what you’re saying, because I certainly don’t. (At least not for 6 am.)
*kapusta*
March 29, 2009 10:09 am at 10:09 am #677711aussieboyParticipantOh is GMT greenwich median time?
March 29, 2009 10:11 am at 10:11 am #677712kapustaParticipantIts past my bedtime now. Good whatever it is on your part of the world.

March 29, 2009 9:15 pm at 9:15 pm #677716JaxMembermoish: i’m here! you still eating milkshakes like no tomorrow?
March 29, 2009 9:22 pm at 9:22 pm #677718moish01Memberno as much. a few times a week – not every day (or twice a day) anymore. 😉
March 29, 2009 9:25 pm at 9:25 pm #677719moish01Memberi missed all the hangman fun last night because i was on the phone with my friend. i feel so bad for her she just found out that her family is moving to Israel at the end of this school year. i didn’t know what to tell her. Not fair to her, that’s all i could say.
March 29, 2009 10:32 pm at 10:32 pm #677720anonymisssParticipantThat’s really tough for her, moish. It’s not easy to pick up and move at this stage in the game, (I’m assuming she’s around 16, too.) The best thing to do is to listen and sympathize. You can also be supportive and encouraging, NOT by saying things like, “It’s gonna be awesome!” or, “You’ll love it there!” I have found that the best way to give someone the strength to rise to a challenge is by reminding the person about another time that they did have a lot of strength and did ___________, and then saying something along the lines of, “and I believe that you have the strength in you to tackle this challenge like that time.” Maybe then you can ask her which aspect of living in Israel she thinks she might be able to like and building from there. It’s a really big, hard challenge that we can’t even begin to understand when we’re standing with two feet solidly planted on US soil. Tell her the CR wishes her lots of success and strength in dealing with it!

March 29, 2009 10:33 pm at 10:33 pm #677721anonymisssParticipantOh, and moish? Yes, we missed you last night playing hangman.

March 29, 2009 10:43 pm at 10:43 pm #677722moish01Memberwhat’s “oh, and moish?”
March 29, 2009 10:50 pm at 10:50 pm #677723anonymisssParticipantHmm… I wrote something else first. Mod, I know you don’t appreciate when people do this, can you just tell me if my post was deleted or it didn’t go up yet?
Thanks a bunch,
~a~
March 29, 2009 10:53 pm at 10:53 pm #677724moish01Memberanonymisss, i don’t play shrink. God, i’m upset she’s going too and i really feel bad for her. there’s no way it’s gonna be “awesome” that’s all i can say. don’t know what her parents are thinking. and she’s not 16, she’s younger than that. (14 or 15- i forget)
March 29, 2009 10:53 pm at 10:53 pm #677725anonymisssParticipantThere you go, moish.
Mr. Moderator, thank you!
