Lately, I’ve had a lot of (truly) innocuous posts not show up. Mods, have you been deleting a lot of my posts? I’m not asking WHY, only IF. If the answer is no, I think maybe there is something wrong with the computer that I use (I definitely typed it out and clicked send, but maybe it doesn’t transmit?).

yeah a few of mine are missing in action but i learned not to comment.
btw squeak i’m in shock that i’m worthy of you answering my posts. what’s gotten into you?

i dunno – i get the feeling you don’t like me. and generally people don’t talk to people they don’t like.

Squeak, I have also seen one or two posts not make it to print. They may not be perceived to be as innocuous as we think they are. Maybe they could potentially offend someone, unintentionally.
I’m surprised that so many are having the same problem. I never had this before. My other thought was that it was the presence of an ad that requires Flash player, and I do not have the most current version. Every time I load CR I am prompted to update, and I say no. Does anyone else who said Ditto have the same situation?
It wasn’t just Joseph. Recently, a lot of posters were trying to pry personal information out of other posters so we started cracking down. The basic rule is, don’t try to pry out personal information. Any questions or comments directed towards trying to “figure out” a blogger’s identity will not be approved. Posts that ask others to meet them at “Plonis” will not be approved. We understand that sometimes it is not done intentionally. Joseph asked another poster about their profession in response to another post which may or may not have given it away. Although others may be able to figure it out on their own based on the original post(s), we felt that asking directly “do you work in such and such” is not acceptable so we deleted the post and closed the thread to make the point that this was happening too often.
ok, so ditto ditto ditto for me too. But I think that was only yesterday. I was convinced i was transmitting my bad mood to the Mods through my sarcastic comments or there’s a Mod that really can’t stand my guts- no matter what I type. But alls well that ends well- now we’re back in business
d’you think they’re picking on Charlie Brown’s posts today? Charlie if you’re reading this, we sympathize and want you to know that this too shall pass. We’re rooting for you buddy
42, Understood. But my question was about undisputably innocuous posts, like saying thank you to ames for a compliment. I thought that maybe my posts were being automatically deleted, but I can see today that that was not true. So I’m guessing it has to do with my computer.

Last week a CR member revealed her route home from work after i asked “…”. I couldn’t believe her response was put through the screening board and advised the Mods to be very careful bout revealing personal info. Although i very often ask/tease about personal info, i do not expect you to answer truthfully or seriously. (perhaps the mods didn’t heed my warning then, but i pride myself on detecting the danger early on ;))
Please take care of yourselves- there are too many tragic stories already

squeak, I just searched and found only 2 of your posts deleted in the past day, is that too rough for you?

Moderator: I was wondering about that myself.
I had a post removed the other day about the virtues of some camps (Help in choosing a Camp); a very positive post about Camp Sternberg and Camp Tubby. I also had a post that added a couple of singers to cantoresq’s list; which didn’t make it.
Mod42- you really fell into that trap, but good. You need to add another “best poster” rule/criteria
squeak – then I guess something would be wrong with my computer too. Don’t be so quick to accept blame (and don’t allow your computer to carry the blame) for missing posts.
notice how squeak avoids answering that. it’s ok, dude. i forgive easily.
so YW is getting old and feeble, can’t handle the onslaught the way it used to. It happens to the best of us- how sad
I don’t have time to go searching for everyone’s deleted comments. The moderating is going slow enough as it is, do you want it to go slower?

moish01 – I’m truly sorry that I came across as not liking you. That is simply not the case. I am now enacting an “answer every future post by moish01” vendetta to counter that impression.
Mods, sorry that everyone else is now bugging you for their deleted post info. You can completely ignore them and continue to give up-to-the-minute information on the status of all of my posts only. Thanks again.
yeah in the last day or so i’ve noticed some of my posts got on the board yet an hour later or so was removed!!! so weird!!!
