I just recieved this FWD- is it true? And why am I so terrified?
FWD: I’m passsing on an SMS that Harav Hamekubal Nissim Shalom dreamt of his grandfather and was told that Moshiach is near, and says that whoever hurries and publicizes this will be saved from the birthpangs of Moshiach, and whoever doesn’t may be subject to great financial loss. Pass on to at least 12 people quickly, this is a sha’at ratzon.

Actually, Chazal tell us that Torah and Gemilas Chasadim saves one from Chevlei Mashiach. Also, being careful to eat a Seuda Shlishis saves one from that.
We don’t know what Chevlei Mashiach are. Some have said that the holocaust was Chevlei Mashiach. Reb Elchanan Vasserman said that it was definitely Chevlei Mashiach, and that Moshiach will follow — not necessarily right away, it might take 50 years or more. I heard B’shem a Baal Ruach Hakodesh that it wasn’t Chevlei Moshiach, and he is surprised that anyone could have suggested such. The Baal Shem Tov said that lives won’t be lost in the coming of Moshiach. Chevlei Moshiach might be the effects of the economy, or some anti-Yiddish or anti-Israel policies. The term Chevlei Moshiach suggests an idea of mounting pressure rather than damage.
I must have got 20 of that same exact message in the last 4-5 hours. I don’t believe it!

Mod-80, maybe we need something like snopes.com for Jews, so that people will be less likely to spread hoaxes like this.
I think that they were just having nightmares regarding the earthquake or it could mean sth.. You never know it when you least expect it…, or when you just think people are being foolish that’s when they say he will actually be coming so we really don’t know. I advise let’s just follow it on and if it Happens it happens and if it doesn’t let’s daven harder that he really will come!!! Bimheira viyomeinu amen!

I received this one twice today. Has anyone seen it. I will delete it even though it is a lovely message because I have completely stopped participating in emails that require you to forward “X” number of copies within a specified time frame. I have enough email to deal with without having to worry about who I shall forward these messages to.
