We used to have a weekly radio programme (in London) where people use to phone in and say “what made me feel good” this week.
It may be a baby’s first laugh, passing an exam, being able to help someone, going to visit someone, meeting a friend and so on. It was a great programme and really made you reflect on all the great things in life that Hashem bestows on us. Could we do the same?

What an absolutely fabulous idea!!!!! I’ll start. My 13 month old granddaughter saw me, picked her hands up, smiled and said, “Up-a Bubba.” When I picked her up, she nuzzled me and giggled. NOTHING, but NOTHING beats that! I have always maintained that it is so important to be makir tov to Hashem for everything, and not take His chessed for granted. The problem is, so many are too preoccupied to realize just how much we do receive.

what made me feel good was when a coworker noticed today that I was very overworked and told me to take a break while she took over for me a bit.
I deleted an outrageous post today. That made me feel good 🙂

she got a splinter in her hand
her mother called me up and said: “can i bring A over, she has a splinter and wont let anyone remove it but Zaide.
I wrote that outrageous post. Writing it made me feel good (just kidding…..but venting sometimes helps me feel better, not good)

Alcohol always makes me feel good.
On a more serious note (that was serious, but this is more serious), I felt really good today, when I was able to get so much work done in so little time. That’s a good thing.
Last night I took my son (who is not yet had an upsherin) to the kosel. We said tehillim, then we took some pictures.
I feel good when my house is very clean and today I am having a cleaning lady for 2 hours!! I cant wait!
I feel good when:
People show me hakoras hatov(not for Kovod but because it makes me feel like I made them happy)
When my house is clean and tidy
when I do a mitzvah, especially Ben Odom Lechaveiro
when I hear an intersting inspiring shiur or story.
when I get a mitziyah
when I pulled off a good business deal
when I make new friends
…this morning my son was just extra cute. He always makes me laugh!
I make Brisim for a certain shul as a chessed ( i dont get paid i only charge what it costs me). I felt good today when i passed the shul and someone came over to me to tell me how nice the bris looked and how delicous everything tasted.

my little one wanted me to change her diaper and not mommy – it made both mommy and me feel good.

When all my nieces and nephews are fighting over who gets to speak to me first. It’s cute and it also makes me feel good.
It made me feel good that today was my last day of college in my masters program (don’t worry it’s a frum completely Kosher one).

I felt so good today when we had a blackout for a few hours and I couldn’t use the phone or the computer. I got so much extra time in my day!

This morning…I was running late and just went in to give my son milk. I handed it to him, he drank some, said “All done.” Then he looked up at me and in the cutest voice said “Up. Up.” So of course I had to pick him up. And hug him. And he hugged me back.
I love this age right now (17 months) – he is communicating/talking, friendly, fun…
I feel good today because my son called to tell me that my ainekel FINALLY used the potty several times yesterday.

One thing that made my day: a man pushing a full wagon insisted that i go ahead of him as I was only carrying 2 items!
Another thing: I saw a Rav close the garbage cans of a stranger after the garbage men had so carelessly strewn them around!

on a call that we transferred to the hospital i was able to help the patient communicate with the licensed EMT thereby making them feel better/more comfortable.

I’m happy today for a great cup of coffee this morning.
Yesterday, I was very happy because my family came over to my house for the lunch seuda and for shalosh seuda. All the food came out good-nothing burnt. The company was great.

Hashem is too good:
– Although running very late, I “somehow” got to work on time (past few days)
– I nearly got a client in deep trouble but Hashem prevented me from reaching the wrong party
– A sick relative is B”H doing much better
– 3 of my clients showed appreciation, and also passed along a good word to the ‘right’ people
– I made it indoors just before the rain
– A long lost friend called me last night
– My nieces & nephews were well behaved (a ness in and of itself)
And much more…
…only 7 more business days until my maternity leave starts 🙂
SJS, don’t most people have maternity leave when they have a baby? Are you planning to deliver in 7 business day? I’m puzzled.
I feel good today because a close relative was in a minor accident and everyone is ok. Just bangs and bruises all around. Hashem truly blessed me.
Just me – B”H. During the Nine Days, it is especially scary when someone has an accident.
Baruch Hashem, I was also saved from what could have been a horrific accident on Thursday- and this is during the Nine Days when we have to be xtra cautious. bli neder i’ll post the story in the hashgocha protis thread- that is, if I could find it. . . can someone please post the link?

Before going to bed I write a page of thank You Hashem for… In my thank You Hashem notebook and when I think of all the things to write in it it makes me feel so good seeing how much good Hashem has blessed me with!!

Ambush: thanks!! I started it a few months ago when a young father in my community passed away suddenly and I was very very upset about it and I was thinking how lucky I am: my parents, family….. I have so many things to be thankful for so I started writing it down, first of all, for my self, to appreciate what I have but also to show Hashem that I’m so thankful for what He gives me…

It makes me feel go to look at a camper at the end of a whole month and say- he/ she came here with this problem (self esteem…) and now is totally changed!
It maked me feel good to look at my newborn son; an amazing miracle!!

Oomis, it is always scary getting a call that there was a car accident. A few years ago my son was hit by a car. I remember running down the block to where the accident was. I could hardly breath. This wasn’t as bad. B”H everything is all right. It seems the problems we are having this year by the 3 weeks is of our own making. Definatally chevlas Moshiach.
Shaatra, that is a beautiful thing to do. Everyone would be happier if they realized the blessings Hashem gives them.

I am feeling good this afternoon because when I was feeling low and yucky, coworkers and family came over to make me feel better.
Firstly, kudos to estherh for starting this thread- the positive atmosphere you lend to the CR is immeasurable!
What made me feel good today?
Waking up feeling rested- first time in months if not years…
Getting ready for a close friends Chassunah….
and just seeing Jews who hold there head up high and say “I am Jew, and I AM PROUD OF IT!” and i act like it…
