    Are you feeding the birds in honor of Shabbos Shira? This is a very beautiful Minhag? Myself and my family are probably going to hang bird seed (from a hook) in a tree so the birds can feast on the seed on Shabbos Day. Do other Posters do this singularly or does your immediate family involve themselves feeding the birds at a park or a local Duck Pond? How do you observe this special minhag?

    we[my family] puts the challah on the porch for the birds!!! but we got a congessman in NY(he who should not be named) who has issues with us feeding the birds in NY!!!

    Tried to leave some bread around but saw a cat eating it this afternoon instead of the birds. I’d like to think that maybe I saved a bird’s life instead of IT becoming the cat’s meal!!

    Some Yidden have a minhag to feed the birds regularly with their leftovers.
