Oh my goodness, they have a wide variety of Chalav Yisrael cheese. Olives, Port wine, Blue cheese, mozzerella. Can’t remember them all, but they sure looked good. Oh, and don’t go shopping there on an empty stomach.

January 14, 2009 6:17 am at 6:17 am #639460mazal77ParticipantWhen we went to pomegrante, last week, they had some sampling of their dips. Oh boy, I went with my hubby and 2 of the kids. We had not eaten dinner yet. Oh boy, I could not get them away from the table. They were munching like crazy. I took the cart and left them!! The lady serving the sample must have been rolling her eyes. My husband (and myself) highly recommend the Olive Dip.
January 14, 2009 6:51 am at 6:51 am #639461asdfghjklParticipantbrooklyn19: ok i get it!!! chulent aint your thing!!!!

January 14, 2009 1:51 pm at 1:51 pm #639464NechamaRugelachMemberHas anyone here heard of a fruit phobia? I know someone who gets nauseous from smelling, touching or even seeing fruit.

January 14, 2009 6:03 pm at 6:03 pm #639467mazal77ParticipantQwertyuiop, yeah, there was alittle olive dip left over. If you want they have full size containers for sale, which we bought. Finished that container in no time, went back to buy more. It was great with Melba toast. There was Honey mustard picled Herring, that wasn’t too shabby either.

January 15, 2009 4:28 am at 4:28 am #639478asdfghjklParticipantanyone ever tried mehadrin’s sauted liver-on 18th ave.???
January 15, 2009 4:55 am at 4:55 am #639479mazal77Participantsyrian, jelly belly makes something call “BEAN BOOZLED” They have one normal flavor and one horrid flavor – same color. You get to figure out which is the yucky one. Skunk spray, ear wax, baby wipes, toothpaste, are some of the available flavors you may get. It’s a big hit with the kids. I personally have not tried it, nor would I let my kids try it. I saw it few weeks ago by where else, Pomegrante, a few weeks back when they had a full display, last weeks there were only 2 packs left. So someone is buying that stuff. If I were you I’d be careful of anyone offering my Jelly Bellies, you might be “Bean Boozled. Oh,yeah they had something like that in the Harry Potter books, too. (and no, I do not work for Pomergrante, in case someone maybe wondering, just shopped there a few times.)
January 15, 2009 5:07 am at 5:07 am #639480asdfghjklParticipantmazal77: do you work at Pomergrante?? your sure doin a lot of PR for them!!!!
January 15, 2009 5:11 am at 5:11 am #639481mazal77ParticipantNo,don’t work there. I have shopped at that store 4 times since it has opened. I am just amazed at the variety of kosher food that they have, even Beacon agrees about the Cheese department.
January 15, 2009 5:13 am at 5:13 am #639482asdfghjklParticipantmazal77: oh ok, just checkin!!! i thought maybe if you worked there, you could get cr members a discount!!!
