OMG I cant beleive the fast started ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’Only like…ummm….24 more hours to go!
Why can’t you believe the fast started? You had a whole year to prepare for it.
Yidden obviously didn’t have enough zechusim, so HaShem decided to re-destroy the Bais HaMikdash. Obviously a lot more of our efforts is needed. In areas each person himself/herself knows best. And then there’s the generalizations brought down in numerous seforim, most common / publicized being the Ahavas Yisroel chinam.
I don’t know about you, I’m not at all surprised it wasn’t built this year. No – I have much, much more fixing up to do. In all areas, unfortunately.
But I’m trying… maybe next year…
But if you learn that it means that it is as terrible as though it were Charuv in your day — not as if you caused it — then surely you would be surprised that the day came again.
May everyone have an easy and meaningful fast this Tisha B’Av, with the prayers that next year at this time TB’A will be a yom tov of simcha.
