In Parshas Lech Lecha, Avraham says to Sara “Heenay nah yadati ki ishah yifas mar’eh aht”.

Rashi comments that because of the tznius between them, up to that point he did not know how beautiful she was!

The most famous example is from the akeidah, “Vayashkem Avraham Baboker Vayachavosh es Chamoro”. Avraham Avinu, despite the emotional difficulty inherent in what he was asked by God to do, still did it bizrizus; he woke up early to fulfill God’s command.

Avraham Avinu by the akeida, “Vayashkeim” that he got up early to do Hashem’s bidding.

Pinchas Ben Elazar Hakohein, who killed Zimri Ben Salu and Cozbi bas Tzur with one stroke through both of them, for flagrant public immorality.

Tzipporah, who herself gave a bris milah to her son.

Shmuel Hanavi who killed Og Melech Habashan (do I have that right?) when Shaul Hamelech failed to do what he was commanded, to execute him. Shmuel just took a sword and split him in half.

    wasn’t that dovid hamelech?

For the record, it was Shmuel. The king, however, was Agag of Amalek.

As sm29 wrote about Avraham, when the Malachim come to him it says “V’el habakar rutz Avraham….Va’yimahehr la’asos oso”

Avraham personally runs to do the mitzva….

Thanks, Wolf. I KNEW it was Agag, that Og was a questionable answer. I guess I was Senior Momenting again.

what about Chushim ben Dan who was deaf and quickly killed eisav with out delaying.. u know that story?

but Avraham is prob most famous pesonality for this mitzvah- ran to greet his guests, served them the best and by the akeida…

I think Lavan also ran to Yaakov, goody.

I keep on reading the title of this thread as tznius.

I think Rivka Emainu also exemplified this trait, as she ran to draw water for Eliezer’s camels after giving him to drink. Very worthy to be the D-I-L of Avraham Avinu.

The people as whole in bringing Trumah, Aharon Hakohen in stopping the Magefa in parshat Korach,

and in the negative sense, Chamor ben Shechem, Doeg haEdomi Avimelech ben Yiftah, not all specifically zrizus, but alcarity certainly.
